Is anyone else having this problem? Every display setting has a bunch of judder, it wasn't doing this a few weeks ago. It started all of a sudden a week or 2 ago. I'm using the app on the Nvidia Shield. A helpful solution would be if someone can link me to an APK of the Alpha or regular version. The Betais the only one I can find. Thanks in advance
Hey Guys, I’m a little bummed because I think I might have made a mistake. I purchased the mini pc in the Amazon link below. I had looked at a few, and this one was priced where I thought it would have enough power to run shadow. I mean, my Windows Surface Pro runs it FINE and that was $500, so why shouldn’t a $325 mini PC that doesn’t come with a screen or anything NOT work. That was my mind set. I minimized all backround processes as possible and ran Shadow. The good news it s that it runs. The bad news is that the amount of lag pretty much make it unplayable. Hi everyone! I’ve been using Shadow in the UK for a while through the Paris server, since last Friday I started experiences high latency and packet loss (connection drops) with Shadow. What is very weird is that I have a 80mb download 5gz internet, and every internet speed I do across different sites reflects that. However, when testing my speed using the Shadow speed test, it shows a download speed of 20MB. This started this weekend, since I made the same test last week and it was showing 80MB. The way it is the shadow is unusable. The video is stuttering and freezing every 1 or 2 seconds. The latest update to my Shadow installation on macOS to Client v.3.9.5 and App Launcher 4.22.9, which auto-loaded today as I was attempting to access Shadow, seems to have broken support for the SteelSeries Nimbus+ controller, whether via Bluetooth or plugged in. The connection was working fine before this update. I tested the controller with non-Shadow games and it’s definitely working and connecting with the Mac.
I have a Steele Arctis 7 headset/microphone. When I use regular microphone setting the sound works great, but the microphone does not work. When I set it to USB the microphone works, but the sound stutters to a halt. I have tried all online remedies of disabling other sound/recorders on local and in shadow. I tried moving my USB plug to go directly into computer instead of keyboard outlet and tried high performance audio. I have made sure all settings mimic my local settings and nothing works. I have 1gb fiber with higher than recommended hardware.
i havent tested with other games yet, but my ps4 controller will stop working after about 2 minutes. then i try to exit the game and my keyboard and mouse also stop working and i have to force quit shadow as i cannot control any part of it.
I recently found one issue related to the cursor/mouse capture in the Mac shadow client. When I am playing the game, I found sometimes when I am holding the left key on the mouse, I can not move at all and even can’t press keys on the keyboard. And the reason I found on my several Macs is, in the cursor locked mode, when my cursor is touching the window borader (even in the full screen mode), the cursor will naturally change to the resizing mouse, and if I press, hold the left click right now and then move, whole keys will be stuck and cannot move. I tried to contact the support team, but they said they don’t have such issue. So I post here to see whether you guys met the same issue and have any solutions. (Have tried disable the trackpad, enable AEserver, they both don’t work)
Background Info For a long period of time, I was having next to no issues with Shadow and connection was smooth and any interference was rare. However, as of recently, my ISP has changed and I have switched routers. My download ( >50 MB/s) and upload speeds (>30 MB/s) are clearly better with the change. Nothing about my setup (standard old dell PC with a tower) has changed except for the router. I am connected via Ethernet and am extremely close to the router in case I have to use WiFi (it hasn’t come to that, however). The Freezes Themselves That background information is important to my problems because as soon as the router switch, Shadow has been giving me freezes at seemingly random intervals in terms of video and audio. The visual freezes generally last upwards of 10 seconds, and after the freeze has ended, the video I then recieve is blurry and pixelated and usually doesn’t fix itself until restart the stream with the keybind. I am pretty much satisfied after using shadow and really enjoying it. However, when i use external mouse on android for Shadow, it works flawlessly, but on Ipad the mouse button inside shadow app and the outside of app is always different and can't really use mouse. Is there any solution to this? TIA
Since 25th December I’ve been getting terrible latency from my Shadow at Paris datacenter making it virtually unusable. I contacted support and they suggested it is a problem with my network. However, I am pretty sure it is not. Attached you can see a speedtest for the Paris datacenter which has low download, high ping and lots of jitter. I have also run one for the Amsterdam datacenter and it looks normal. I have also attached a traceroute to try and help diagnose the issue. Hi guys, I have the problem mentioned in the title. When scrolling with two fingers on my touchpad whilst using Shadow, the scroll is way more sensitive than on my physical computer. Within windows on my shadow I chose the setting to only scroll 1 line at a time. Nevertheless, it feels like the setting is at 10 lines at a time. Does anybody experience something similar or perhaps have a solution for this? Thanks in advance, Ra
Since I activated my Shadow, I haven’t been able to use my Dualshock 4 controller via Bluetooth, it has only worked with a wired USB connection. The controller is recognized within Shadow when it’s connected via Bluetooth, but it just doesn’t do anything. No inputs from the controller work. Has anyone else on Mac had this problem? OS = Windows Shadow Client Version = Beta and latest Local device CPU = i7 1065G7 Local device GPU = GTX1650 Max Q and Intel Iris Plus Datacenter location = Paris Connection speed = 28M down, 8M up Hello!I have an external 4k monitor (LG 27UL850-W) connected to my laptop (Razer Blade Stealth GTX) via USB-C Displayport and as soon as the shadow stream is on the external monitor, the monitor flickers and tears. This happens when the shadow stream is in windowed and in full screen mode. The display of the laptop remains normal with no issues so I don’t believe it is the Graphics driver. I also spoke to Razer support and they believe the same (although they would ;-)).I can play games on the laptop through the external screen fine as well, it is only when the shadow desktop stream touches it that I have the problem. I have tried both the latest stable and Beta versions of the app.Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance.
Since November my microphone has been causing significant issues. I’ve tried every configuration based on google searches, redit, the forums here and technical support to no avail. When I connect to the shadow PC my microphone will work and the audio will be in sync. So for example, if I test audio in dicord and or voice record I can hear my voice instantly as I speak. If I go play a game or browse the web while on the shadow PC the audio will slowly become out of synce. When playing a game it will be so out of sync it’s unusable. I verify this by tabbing out of the game and try voice recorder and speak. I will see no input registered. I can verify the timing are in excess of 10, 20, 30 seconds before the input is registered. The only work around, which is not really a work around and is unacceptabel for a game, is to alt tab out of my games and disable then reenable the microphone. This is an unacceptable work flow to resync the microphone in shadow PC. This worked prior to November f
I've tried refreshing, reinstalling, refreshing again, waiting. Not sure what else to do. This has happened to me twice now, both times following using a Bluetooth controller with the app. I'm using the Android app on a Google Pixel 3A if it matters.
