Shadow not working I've been on a display loop screen just spin with logo and words ( starting Shadow ) I tried everything even uninstall and reinstalled Shadow I still get the same loop screen with no access to my paid Shadow I pay monthly October I shouldn't be charge this the 5th time in October I can not play a descent game without Shadow keeps breaking down. Who is responsible. I'm sick and tired having to report in all the time cause Shadow keeps crashing and no access to play games or anything else. Why is Shadow charging $30 a monthly when it can't get it up. I don't get it.I'm request a refund for the month of October 2021. This a disgrace for business and me as a customer to Shadow 9/20. I never had this much break down from Shadow. The old company kept everything working constantly they didn't have so much complaints such as this new company. It seems everyday Shadow have issues all the time. I very irate when Shadow goes down during the weekends theres no access to Shadow
Just got my Shadow the other day and I’m very happy with it. I’ve cancelled my Geforce Now subscription and I’d like to use Shadow on my TV as well. I have an Nvidia shield with the Shadow app installed, but game icons are not appearing on the home screen. I can get to the desktop, but it’s a pain trying to navigate with the remote. Should I just set Steam big picture to auto-launch and add my non-steam games that way?
I'm using Resilio Sync for synchronizing my project folders on my PC and Shadow. I have to say: This works amazing and is the best solution I found compared to something like Google with a small synchronization capacity. But... A few days ago, the download speed for synchronization dropped significantly; From something around 6mb/s to 100kb/s. I tried to do some troubleshooting to find out what is happening. If Resilio Sync is somehow blocked to synchronize directly from peer to peer it will use a "Relay Server". So it can still synchronize. But the speed of the Relay Server makes it unusable. When I turn off the Relay Server function; Resilio Sync does not see the other peer. I checked the windows firewall and it all looks fine.So, my questions are: Is Shadow blocking this type of connection? (I can understand, Resilio Sync is using a torrent based system to synchronize) Does someone else have a similar experience? Can this even be solved or do I now have to find an alternative?Thanks
Hi, my hotas is not being recognised when plugged into usb 3 it kicks me straight out. I'm on 5ghz, tried Ethernet and the beta version of shadow but to no avail. There is no option when using the shadow ghost for usb forwarding which is odd . It's worked in beta ever since I've had my shadow ghost well over a year. Quest 2 link cable can't be recognised either? I'm guessing it's down to every man and their dog using the internet as people are on lock down so would this affect the latency? Latency was around 5-20 now it's jumped to 28-35. What would cause this sudden jump?Anyone? Cheers.
Hello, I submitted a support ticket for this about 5 hours ago but was wondering if I’m doing something wrong when shutting down shadow. The startup screen shows Shadow in Bios mode and unable to launch. I’ve tried powering down the VM and waiting 30+ Minutes (5 hours now) and still not going past the bios screen. Any thoughts about proper shutdown and may be a way to fix this without waiting for Shadow Support? I think I just have to wait like last time but this happens at least once a month. Hey there!A question similar to mine has already been posted, however, I couldn’t seem to locate a resolution to my issue in that thread.After running an online speed test a few times on my local machine, I’m averaging around 30ms of latency. Concurrently, however, the Quick Menu usage stats on my Shadow machine shows that my latency is hovering between 65-70ms. I also made sure when running the speedtest on my local machine that I selected a Dallas-based server (I’m located in Houston, and am using Shadow’s Dallas data center). I also checked task manager on my local machine and ensured that there are no other programs using bandwidth besides the Shadow application.I can understand a few milliseconds of discrepancy here, but I’m lost as to where this extra 35-40ms is coming from. My assumption is that the routing may be taking a longer pathway than speedtest.net, but I’m not 100% sure how to test for this.I’ll attach screenshots of both my local speedtest, and the Shadow usage stats.
hi folks i have been having this issue plague me for a while now. my shadow keeps on making like what i can describe as a notification noise. the thing is nothing pops up and i cannot find where this noise is coming from. i have checked my local pc and disabled my notifications i have done the same on my shadow one. this noise is intermittent and makes gaming difficult. i managed to get a recording of the sound so that the tech team could hear it. if any1 can help with this extremely frustrating noise i would appreciate it.
As title says, my connection to Shadow is slow even though I’m connected through Ethernet.Normally, I get these speeds: Ethernet Speed TestBut when I’m connected to Shadow, I don’t get anywhere near these speeds, and my connection status is always displayed as “Laggy”: Laggy connection statusI’ve tried opening up the ports through Firewall as directed in this article:Firewalls and Shadow – Shadow - Support (EN)However, it didn’t seem to change anything. Any tips on how to change this? It’s just really annoying trying to play games when my inputs are delayed.
Hello! Your Shadow computer freezes all the time no matter what I do. Even at startup. I have to restart and turn it off every time and it freezes again. The picture becomes static and nothing can be done. Nothing responds to any keyboard mouse actions!!!!!! And I constantly get an error U-103. To restart Shadow You have to constantly turn it off through the task manager. We need to do something, because it makes no sense to renew the subscription like that!!
Got a weird one. I’m subscribed to the Santa Clara datacenter but when I use Speedtest.net to check my connection it immediately routes to some location in Kansas. Is that where my datacenter actually is? This is why that matters to me: I am having ridiculous latency issues. To be fair, there are certainly people with worse connections, but I need to understand why mine is so bad. It jumps between 25 and 400, hovering between 35 and 150 most often. Packet loss doesn’t seem bad, but the performance tells me that there is something wrong. I am having severe audio and video choppiness. The video frames are skipping and the audio cuts out so badly I can’t understand anything that is going on in games or videos. I tested my home internet connecting to a Los Angeles server on Speedtest with a result of 14 ping, 115 down, and 9.5 up. Not great, but it should be good enough for Shadow. I ran Speedtest on Shadow and it connected to Kansas. 42 ping, 962 down, 29 up. Again, should be great. It’s
Hey guys. I just got the new Apple TV 4K recently and wanted to use shadow on it to play some games. And I’d like to say that it isn’t at all usable for me. I am connected via 5GHz wifi connection on it and when I use it there is a lot of lag. The speed test on the app shows me a download of 5 mbps whereas on the Speedtest app by ookla it is showing a 250+ download and upload speed on the Apple TV. I don’t have any lag issues on my iPad, MacBook nor my iPhone, all connected via wifi on 5GHz, the shadow experience is butter smooth there (even via 5G it’s usable on my iPad) but on the Apple TV it’s completely unusable. Could there be something that I am doing wrong in setting up shadow on my Apple TV? The firmware is on TVOS 15 for the Apple TV and the shadow app is on version 3.7.5. I am connected to the Dallas Datacenter and am physically in Austin.
Logitech MX Master Bluetooth Mouse isn’t registering buttons 3 and 4. I’m using Overwatch to test this. Furthermore, Caps Lock doesn’t register on my Logitech ERGO K860. Both mouse and keyboard are connected to my MacBook Pro (13”, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 Ports) running macOS Big Sur 11.2.1. I’m running the macOS Shadow app v. 1.8.7.
