Update Feb 2021 - Mic input android fails

<Edit of question - found fix>Solution to two issues still existing in the android app with mic forwarding.A) users experience sound working but mic not workingB) users experience mic working but with a 5-10 second delay on input. <First enable mic in app of course :))Fix for me:1) rightclick sounds (taskbar) )))2) click recording3) rightclick Externtal mic headphone > Select: Configure Speech recognition4) Go to: Advanced speech options (left side)5) Click advanced at the bottom.6) Select: Use this audio device (Don't select preferred device)7) Select: configure microphone. Run test.8) Restart Shadow.Now it should work on Teamspeak, Discord. Try it out. Hopefully it works for you.Cheers.Paco

Error Code R-0x4

+++ Windows Official Shadow Boost AMD FX 6300 Nvidia Geforce GT740 Chicago datacenter ~40 Mb/s Unable to launch into shadow client. I receive error code R-0x4 every time. Unknown error. Haven’t been able to fix with any community suggestions/previous posts. Other: 02/10/2021 No. Just repeated attempts to launch No Cannot launch.

shadow pc making an irritating noise!!

hi folks i have been having this issue plague me for a while now. my shadow keeps on making like what i can describe as a notification noise. the thing is nothing pops up and i cannot find where this noise is coming from. i have checked my local pc and disabled my notifications i have done the same on my shadow one. this noise is intermittent and makes gaming difficult. i managed to get a recording of the sound so that the tech team could hear it. if any1 can help with this extremely frustrating noise i would appreciate it.

Shadow stream frozen

hello,Since 2 days is shadow legging and the streaming sucks, it is frozen every x second. Only way to use it is restart streaming, time after time. It’s not working.Reinstalled games, reinstall windows, format D drive. Nothing works, anyone an idea?

Shadow crashing

Every time I open my shadow. After about 30 seconds or so the screen just freezes and I cant do anything. I've tried restarting and opening shadow up multiple times and it still just freezes and crashes. I need help.

Perte du streaming depuis début Janvier (Belgique)

Je suis en Belgique et J’utilisais Shadow avec le launcher Linux (ubuntu 18.04)  avec satisfaction depuis plus d’un an.Depuis début janvier 2021, j’ai des pertes de streaming incessantes. Shadow bloque, je dois donc  réduire la fenetre (Windows + F). fermer Shadow en Linux et relancer le Launcher pour récupérer la session Shadow qui est restée active dans le cloud. Cela devient insupportable  . C’est pareil en WiFi et avec le cable RJ45.Qu’est-ce qui a changé entre 2020 et 2021?Comment résoudre cela?Merci d’avance pour les suggestions.

01/30 BETA & Release: Microphone stopped sending Audio for Live Streaming

Since my last broadcast earlier in the week, I only made one change.Switched to Android (Release) last night to see if I could play Read Dead Online and see it on my phone, which worked.(forces Official Release change)I switched back to BETA (current release) to begin streaming and my headset is not registering any dB using OBS.An Update FAILED trying to install the Official Shadow Boost Release Retry was installed and using Shadow Official for this Post. Used ‘Camera’ on Windows to verify Headset Audio in video - worked Used built-in mic and plugged into xBox Series X for Shadow with no response Mic Volumes adjusted to 100% OBS switched from Default to Virtual, vice versa Verified Enabled Microphone properties checked as needed Verified My Mute Button(s) were not “on” Verified Sound/Music works with OBSMight be me, the Mic was working just fine?

USB joystick issues

I am running MSFS 2020 on my mac with shadow, trying to use a logitech extreme 3d pro joystick. I have looked up how to connect usb devices through the launcher, but the launcher doesn’t even give me the option to connect a usb device, and obviously doesn’t show up in the vm. It isn’t showing up as an xbox controller either.

Unplayable VR Lag

I am having trouble with vr. I want to play blade and sorcery on my quest using shadow, but its unplayable. It loads in but it lags so hard that It wont move and there is a black screen around. I know this can be from wifi, but is there anything that can be done? If there's not I will just cancel my membership because that would just be a waste of money.

Why am I getting major lag/frame rate drops while gaming on Shadow with zoom in use on my computer?

Anyone know how to fix this? I don’t think it used to be an issue for me but more recently its started causing major problems. Absolutely unplayable with zoom in use rn. Also don’t judge me for gaming on zoom :)

Shadow Ultra Gameplay Bugs

My Shadow Ultra has the tendency to completely shut off my mic on every single application I use this includes GTA 5 Online, Red Dead Online, FiveM, Discord and many more.I have no idea why any of this happens and it seems the only way that I can even hear audio sometimes is to completely shut down my computer and Shadow then restart both of them.  If anyone else runs into this issue please let people know. Also if anyone here plays RedM and is unable to even launch the application apparently that problem has been going on for years with shadow in both versions of the program both Shadow Ultra and Shadow Boost.

Email address change

Hello, Beautiful Creatures.I’m sorry about my ignorance but is there a way to change your email address without having to contact support? I know that you can just contact them through your Account Page: https://account.shadow.tech/ → Support tab but shouldn’t there be an option to change the email address yourself? Or is this intentionally set up this way for safety reasons?Please teach me your ways.Dee

Disco Elysium becomes unresponsive during gameplay

As mentioned in the title, Disco Elysium, in particular, constantly becomes unresponsive during gameplay. Restarting streaming fixes the issue, however, this is not always possible. Sometimes pressing the button for restart does nothing. Then I need to hit Win+Alt+Q to force quit streaming, kill all Shadow tasks in Task Manager and start streaming again. This can get quite tedious when the game freezes in a minute or two after going through the aforementioned ordeal. I haven’t had this issue in any other game I’ve played. Additionally, I’m playing the game via Steam.

Windows mouse settings do not persist for each session

Hi, I run a Mac client to a Windows10 Shadow image.  In fullscreen mode, my mouse pointer is slow and jumpy unless I go into Windows mouse settings and click “Enhance pointer precision,”  which fixes my issue.  However this checkbox is disabled every time I start a new session, and I need to navigate to it and click it again.  How can I make this setting persistent?  Details: Application type: Mac Shadow Client Version: Official, seems unrelated to client Local device CPU: N/A Local device GPU: N/A Datacenter location: New York Connection speed: N/A Description of issue Other: Date when problem appeared: Has been like this for months Did you take any action(s) which could have created this problem? Hi , so I did a hard reset on my shadow boost last night & it seem to wipe everything out but I can’t get it to start again. been stuck on “starting shadow” for the past 18 hours or so. Please help

Corsair M65 ELITE Gaming Mouse and iQUE (Ghost)

Just to confirm that the above mentioned mouse and iQUE software does work on the Ghost however you must connect through the USB3 port or the mouse will not be “seen” by the software and the RGB lighting ect will not work.

Tobii Eye Tracker 5 Support

Greetings fellow shadow people!I recently purchased the Tobii Eye Tracker 5 and attempted to set-up the device on my newly activated (hooray!) ShadowPCEverything went according to plan at first, i enabled it in the USB Periferals, the windows app installed on the shadow and the devices USBD>EyeChip is showing up as installed along with the Cameras>Tobii Hello Sensor.Upon opening the Tobii app for the first time the “Eye Tracking” part seems to work with it showing where you’re looking, however the app displayed avatar which shows your heads positions doesn’t turn the head and it doesn’t appear to be tracking the “Head Position”. Then as soon as i launch the game, tobii eye tracker seems to crash or switch off (the lights go out)From this point on i cannot seem to get any signs of life out of it without a re-install which after going through the same process yields the same results.Has anyone else figured out how to get Tobii working, and if it’s presently not possible, can we exp
