My microphone stopped working with the new update 11/25/20
recently with the new update my microphone stops working after 5 minutes of use, it only works fine when I start my shadow. I tried to disconnect and connect it in the shadow panel, use the beta launcher, reinstall the application, disconnect the other audio devices, reinstall the usb peripherals drivers on Shadow and it still not working. - Works fine on my native pc - I don't have the microphone muted - I check out the volume - My microphone appears in the microphone section - Shadow recognizes my microphone but not the sound - I restart my shadow multiple times - Before the update my microphone worked perfectly The error is fixed when I close up and open my shadow but it stops working after a few minutes. I'm thinking of resetting my shadow but I don't want to lose all my data :( what can i do? Sorry for my bad english <3
Issues with USB microphone
I have recently been having an issue using my USB microphone with my shadow. I have a blue snowball and up until about a month ago it was fine but recently it wont work. I have enabled USB devices to be forwarded and it does get recognised but for some reason it doesnt work properly. The mic will not register anything. I have tried it on my actual pc and its fine. I used Audacity to test it and its as if the mic is lagging behind or something.
Ubuntu connection issue - Launcher fails to launch the streaming app
Before I dive into this please can you let your guys know that the discord invite in the welcome emails is dead, also on the Ubuntu app the instructions for sending Shadow logs are incorrect (or I am an idiot and can’t find the send logs button)I’ve finally got around to setting up my shadow, I am a linux user and have completed installing the pre-requisites but when I hit the ‘Start Now’ button the app appears to very briefly (less than a second) launch the streaming window and then it immediately closes and shows the following error: As I mentioned above I can’t see a way to dump logs from the linux app (also Linux isn’t an option on the support ticket form!). My Neofetch as follows: Any advice you guys can offer would be awesome. Thanks!
Is there any way to know which state is best for me?
Hi!I live in Panamá and wanted to try Shadow. As there’s no server here I’m connecting to the California one. My latency is 150+. I have a good internet connection here (fast.com says 80Mbps and 12ms latency), and when I did a test to different states it seems that I would have better latency with the ones on the East Coast. Is there any way to test every Shadow location in the US, and if I found a better one, would it be possible to change from CA to another? Even If I have to wait the queue again.

Call of duty Cold war
Ok so i been playing cod cold war on my shadow boost. But for some reason no matter what settings i use i see a lot of sturtting looking left to right also a lot of slow downs. Now is this due to the cpu or something is why i see this. My fps is always good over 60 good internet. I also see this in battlefield 5 to the point i can not play the game at all 1080 p or in 2k. I just hope if i get the chance to upgrade to the 2080 one or higher that will fix this. At this point not sure how long i will keep playing on here if all games are going to run like this. Any help would be amazing still new to pc gaming so been trying to learn how to fix settings but at this point i have turn everything on low at 1080p i still get it. Note i have played some old fps games with zero issue.
ELTIMA driver pop-up since Big Sur update
Hey there guys!I have a problem which I think is concerning Shadow. I am using a MacBook early 2016 Official Shadow Client 1.3 GHz Intel Core m7 dual-core CPU Datacenter is in Paris Connection speed is more than 300 Mbps Since I updated to Big Sur the following pop-up appears each time I start the system If I click on relaunch the pop-up just comes back after a few seconds, If I click on disable it goes away. I tried looking in the Privacy settings as described in the pop-up but I can’t find anything related to the issue Can you guys help me?
Keep Shadow active while playing VR
When playing VR (pokerstars) with Virtual Desktop on my Oculus Quest 2, the shadows seems to time out after some time. The game locks up, but audio chat remains working. If I pull off my headset, or return to the VD environment, I can see the shadow inactivity warning, and the pokerstars window with (not responding) on the title bar. seems like I can manage to keep the shadow from shutting down, but the game is unrecoverable. If I try to use the “enter VR” button on VD, I get an error. My workaround is to keep the mouse of the PC I stated shadow on nearby, and move it once in a while, but if I forget, i get locked up. Any advice? I was going to try an auto mouse mover, but then saw they are forbidden.
Hello,I allow myself to post here to share my concerns.This morning, I launched my shadow but it did not launch, it remains stuck in step “2.Starting Shadow” and then goes back to the initial plan “Shadow is off”.I already tried everything, re-install the application, checked my subscription, client version, login, install my drivers, enabled my gc.But still no launch of Shadow, which is why I turn to you for help on a possible solution.Cordially.
Trying to play phantom covery ops but it kicks me to log into FB.
Hello how is everyone ? We are trying to play phantom covert ops on Quest 2 and as soon as we click on it I get kicked to ask to sign into FB. Here’s the thing I’m already signed in on a phone and when it asks me to confirm by sending code it says to yahoo.com well my e mail is gmail.com. Also that the only VR game that does it and it always worked until now. Thank you very much for the help. Really appreciate it. Take care 😀

Hi,I’m goint to buy the new M1 MacbookPro and I was wondering whether shadow is going to run on it? I guess there’s no native app for that, but is it running under Rosetta2? It’s kinda crucial knowing that I’ve already found a few apps not working with M1 nor Rosetta.Thanks,Daniel
apple tv or nividia Shield
Good morning all I post a lot but so new to all of this. Right now i play on a apple 4k tv box right now but still not sure if its doing a good job. The reason i say that is all my games no matter what settings i have on i get this crazy stutter looking left to right. I have done everything for settings to the point i turn call of duty cold war down to 720p all on low settings but i still get it. So i jump on my wife labtop its doing it still but so little its crazy hard to see that stutter. So is this a apple tv issue if so should i switch over to the shield?. Hope you all can help me out on this. Note its not internet i had 150 download so that is good.
What to do with my old Shadow Box (not using it anymore)
Hello, I’m not using anymore my Shadow Box but I would like to know if I can install an other OS like Ubuntu or something else on it ?Can I legally change the OS on Shadow Box ?What is architecture based on ? ARM ? x86 ?Did someone do it ? I don't wanna throw it away as is not earth friendly. Thanks
