Can't connect to Shadow for 2 weeks, launcher stuck
It has been more than 2 weeks since I could connect to Shadow. The launcher is stuck on update. Application type: Windows 10 PCs, IOS on Apple Ipad 11 Pro. Shadow Client Version: Official Local device CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 2.42 GHz Local device GPU: NVIDIA Geforce MX330 Datacenter location Portland Connection speed: 300-600 mbs/sec Description of issue: launcher stuck on updating Other: Date when problem appeared. about two weeks ago Did you take any action(s) which could have created this problem? Repeatedly contacted Shadow but received no solution. Do you recall any action(s) you took after it happened? Nothing, the app just stopped working. Do you use a VPN and/or antivirus? Yes. I turned of my antivirus but it made no difference. (Malwarebytes) Please help, the launcher is stuck on the update screen. Thanks.
Shadow keeps using 0.2 or 2 MBP/s despite having 25 MBP/s allocated. Low bandwidth is activated, if I deactivate it, nothing happens. I have a 100 MBP/s connection. And my Shadow is connected to the Santa Clara server. And if it helps I haven’t used Shadow for a week since I had some technical issues with my 100 MBP/s connection.
Stability using Stadia
I have been playing several games through Stadia on my Shadow Server for several month now. Today I logged in to try one out and Stadia won’t launch games saying there is a connection stability issue. I ran all of the Windows updates etc and clearly there is a solid connection. Anyone have any ideas as to what may have happened or how to fix the issue?
Switching between two applications while in dual-monitor mode
I use my Blade Shadow to play a game called Zwift. I'd like to use my Shadow in dual-monitor mode so that I can display Zwift in full-screen mode on one monitor, and display OBS Studio on the other. I'm using OBS Studio to capture the Zwift session and stream it to Twitch while simultaneously recording it on disk. The problem I'm encountering is that the Zwift application will close if I click on the OBS Studio application. I don't know what would happen if I clicked on an empty spot on the desktop. While in dual-monitor mode, I have configured the display settings to extend the desktop. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Are the shadow servers in Amsterdam having a hard time?
Normally I don't have slim to none problems with shadow. I played this afternoon with my server located in Amsterdam, while having fiber internet. Suddenly my game started lagging and that only happens when I start my game. Could this be a stressed server ?
File Explorer is in another desktop?
Hi I am having an extremely annoying problem, I accidentally dragged File Explorer outside my shadow desktop and whenever I try to open files it will just show in the task bar that its open but I can't see it. Is there any way to fix this? I have tried rebooting and every other similar thing on the internet.
USB device forwarded but not visible in Windows 10
Hi,running the current shadow (Launcher v4.29.14 | Client v3.15.16 from web site as of 2022-02-11) on MacOS Monterey 12.1 (Macbook Pro). I want to use my (oldie but goldie) Microsoft Force Feedback 2 Joystick with X-Plane. The Shadow itself is completely virgin (freshly installed and fully MS updated 2022-02-11 + current Nvidia driver 511.65).Shadow client USB support installed flawlessly, I see the joystick offered in the shadow overlay on the shadow instance and also can tick it to being forwarded as expected. So, everthing looks good, but the device simply is not recognized at all by Windows@Shadow.Currently i use the very same device successfully via VirtualHere (joystick plugged into a local linux machine running the VirtualHere server, and Windows@Shadow running the VirtualHere client). With this configuration the joystick drivers are installed by windows as soon as i connect the joystick in the VirtualHere client for the very first time, and afterwards it just works. So basicall
VM not activated; Online portals shows no orders
I ordered my shadow a few days ago. It previously told me that I had one order in the works. Today I checked the portal and my shadow is not activated, but it shows no orders in progress. Is this a mistake, a bug, or do they just take the order out of the portal when it’s about to be activated?
Controller showing up multiple times
I’m trying to connect my (one) Xbox Wireless Controller, from Mac.With Shadow up and running, Shadow lists it as 4/4 controllers connected, and lists “XBox 360 controller” four times below that. I got a Shadow error message that only four controllers were allowed (I still only have one).The Windows System Settings also show it listed as “HID-compliant game controller” four times.This seems pretty buggy. How can I resolve this?
Input not working after tablet driver install
I was wondering if anyone might have a clever solution to my input problem. I tried to install the drivers for my pen display tablet hoping that I could forward it like other USB devices. Unfortunately, not only could I not do that, but installing the drivers disabled my input devices completely outside of the ability to ctrl alt del to get to that window but I can't use the menu to get access to task manager because my inputs don't work.Any ideas as to how I might try to get it working again? Normally I would just boot into safe mode and delete the offending drivers but this is impossible as far as I know with Shadow and the only thing support was able to provide was an FTP link to download my files (which didn't include my 1.25TB storage drive) and then a factory reset. I can still access the quick launch menu inside of shadow and I see it has the ability to add controllers. Would it be worth buying a controller and trying to use that as an input?If anything, hopefully this will be a
My bandwidth is going crazy
I don’t know whats going on but my bandwidth was always fine at 24 mbit/s but then halfway through a play session i get a huge lag spike therefore me having to go all the down to 5, its still completely playable and i have no problems but im just wondering why its doing this ive never had a problem, been a shadow user since last year around fall or so.
Bug: USB passthrough almost broke my laptop
I have a Lenovo laptop and I tried the usb passthrough feature. I think it worked while I was playing Shadow. However when I restart my computer, my computer booted without any USB peripherals (mouse and external keyboard) being usable. I tried rebooting several times and every time no USB devices worked. The laptop keyboard did not work either and only the touchpad worked. I had to remote into my machine using a remote support tool to login and use the uninstall option on Shadow’s usb passthrough page then I went to device manager to rescan for devices to activate my USB devices. All done through either my touchpad or my remote support tool. Just wanted to let you guys know this bug report for Shadow’s USB passthrough on Lenovo laptops.
i can connect to my shadow, but i cant use the WiFi on my shadow
So I am able to connect to my shadow, but I am not able to use the wifi on it. No web pages will load, discord wont load in, steam wont load in, and multiplayer games doesn't work. Is there anyway to fix this? Edit: The Problem has fixed Its Self
0x80073D13 error when updating Xbox Game Pass games. Already did the partition
So like a week ago I followed the whole workaround to create a partition that’s compatible with Xbox/Microsoft Store. My games were running perfectly until today. They apparently need an update, but when I try to install the update, I get the 0x80073D13 code, even though I already did the workaround. I’ve made sure the correct drive is selected and set to default and I previously deleted the partition and did the whole damn thing over again. Now the issue is happening yet again and I’m not okay with having to delete and recreate the partition plus reinstall the games every time this happens.Anyone have a long term fix for this? Thanks!
