I am unable to launch Shadow. Shadow gives the following update screen : When I press the Orange button, it flashes to the update progress bar for a second or so, then flips back to this screen. There is no error message displayed. I have tried to reset my Shadow - better than nothing - but this fails also. I get through to the password screen then it reports an error : I contacted technical support 24 hours ago, but no joy to date. They have just said “be patient” - mentioned that my Shadow was under maintenance. Not sure where to go next… ...apart from - has anyone seen this before and resolved?
Over the last couple weeks my Shadow latency has been spiking an hovering in the 700 m/s range periodically. This is not a local router issue as I tested both systems independently and my latency test on my base system is in the 50 m/s range. Once I speed test from Shadow there is a remarkable difference. I primarily use the shadow for PC gaming and the effect is that I am playing in tar where my actions and results are disconnected in a very noticeable way and the screen will start to artifact with a smoky wavy digital noise that is only on the shadow. My first thought was that global bandwidth may have spilled over into the connectivity but this problem has been very constant for about 3 weeks now. I cannot realistically play ANY first person shooter as the latency makes it a frustrating experience. I live in Los Angeles presumably close to a data center so Idon’t know what gives. Any help in this arena would be appreciated.
I seem to be getting numerous updates firstly on a PC , updating graphics drivers, which it did yesterday and then similar on my mac all on the same day. It can take 10 minutes before I can log into Shadow. It is making Shadow useless. Why is this happening and update graphics drivers are off? I dread to use Shadow in consequence. All users want to do is having rapid access as possible.

Yesterday I had a crash and restart and thought it might have been a once off. However, it has crashed again today, just dumped me straight out into '’windows is shutting down screen'’. Also - after yesterdays crash, the interface was very low res and asking me to shutdown the Shadow, not restart it. It looked like some kind of diagnostic mode. It feels like an overheating problem...maybe - just a hunch. Other: Date when problem appeared: 25/26 July. Did you take any action(s) which could have created this problem? If so, what? The only new things is the installation of Warframe. New Geforce drivers update
I am using the Shadow macOS client and I always launch and use it in fullscreen. For whatever reason, the cursor locking made all mouse movements slow and jello-like. Disabling locking always fixes it and I personally does not want or need the feature anyway. Is there a way to make it (no mouse locking) the default at launch?
I have a HyperX CloudII headset via USB but I have had a lot of trouble being able to use it with Shadow. Without enabling/forwarding the HyperX USB device I get audio but can’t use my mic, to use my mic I have to enable the HyperX USB device to use the headset. The problem is that as soon as I use TeamSpeak or play audio for awhile the audio cuts out. If I’m playing a game I can sometimes get TeamSpeak audio but no system or game audio and other times it doesn’t seem to have any audio at all. I have reinstalled and updated NVIDIA drivers, tried different bandwidth settings, tried low bandwidth mode, tried experimental high quality audio, updated the HyperX firmware and driver, reset computer and network equipment - nothing seems to work I want to use this for gaming, but not being able to use a headset is a dealbreaker I am on Windows 10 hardwired to a gigabit connection
I have an Apple TV 4th gen (the not 4K one) and I've found as opposed to windows and Android, everything runs significantly worse. Playing Spyro is super skippy in image running at like 15 fps or something. (Speedtest gives the same speed as other devices, around 70 Mbps) Curious how other people's experience is. I've seen some people really rave about the Apple TV 4K. Wondering if it's the app, the device or something else.
I play on my Shadow PC at varying times of day and whilst flawless at times, I always struggle to connect in the evenings when I actually want to sit down and play a game. Has anyone else noticed this? Playing the UK off the Paris data centre? I assume this is an over subscription issue?
Im using shadow for about a month.The first week was great. Latency stable at 30ms. Since last week, i keep getting +40. (Paris Server) I did a test in Amsterdam and Paris. How is it possible that im getting 43ms in Paris and 46ms in amsterdam (From Spain) Both with ethernet cable
I was playing vrchat on my shadow computer with obs open, and the game kept thinking I was using a keyboard and mouse even though it wasn't, so I restarted vrchat, and then all of a sudden I couldn't click anything at all. I already checked my bandwidth, and it didn't work, I restarted shadow multiple times and it didn't work. I do have an antivirus, but no VPN. My antivirus is avast, and I doubt it caused this to happen to the shadow computer.
hi I have a issue with the xbox game pass it wont let me download any games because it says there is a issue with the storage device I have used the game pass on shadow since I joined with no issues until now the error code is Code: 0x80073D13 I have followed all Microsoft’s advice on there website for fixing the issue but nothing seems to work is anyone else having this is
Whenever i am playing Warzone on shadow, shadows latency randomly spikes up to over 1000ms. Usually it lasts for a couple minutes. Whenever this happens, as soon as i close the game, it drops down to 20-40 ms. i have tried following one of shadows solutions which was to open ports and while it did help, it still occasionally happens. i don’t think it is a problem with the game because my in game latency is usually at 15-30 ms. these latency spikes are my main problem with shadow and i need a way to get rid of them or at least make them less common. By the way, Warzone is the only game i have installed. Thanks.
Wondering if the MacOS USB forwarding problem was fixed? I have the latest official client but my Logitech Rumblepad isn’t recognized by the Shadow Client as a controller or forwarded to the Windows OS. The controller does work fine in MacOS itself. Do I need to uninstall the USB drivers and install them again after updating to the latest client?
Hi Everyone! I’m curious if anyone using linux has managed to get a usb mic working with their setup. My current setup is: Distro: Arch Linux Client: Shadow Beta Mic: Blue Snowball USB mic I am able to see my usb mic in the beta app’s configuration and windows does detect a shadow usb mic but I am unable to get any sound to be picked up from it. I have tested that the usb mic is working locally. I consulted the shadow linux community’s guide (https://nicolasguilloux.github.io/blade-shadow-beta/) as well as the corresponding git repo but there really isn’t any troubleshooting for mic setups. I’m curious if maybe I’m missing a necessary package or perhaps this is just a temporary bug with the beta launcher. I’d love to hear from any other linux users that were able to get their microphone working though! It’d be especially helpful to know what distribution you are using and which version of the launcher ( I’ll admit I haven’t tried to download the alpha as I’m unsure where to get it
Hi I have been having trouble while trying to use my Antlion USB Microphone on Shadow. The microphone is detected by the shadow launcher application, yet the shadow VM is not receiving any audio input. I tested the audio through the default windows recorder app and in-game (Overwatch and others) from within the shadow VM. Nothing was recorded. I have asked other members about this issue on the Discord channel and they have linked me to https://wiki.shadow.pink/index.php/Using_a_Microphone. I have followed that guide to the letter but haven’t had any success. I am not using USB peripheral forwarding. I am attaching screenshots showing my current list of recording devices and respective settings at the bottom. I have thoroughly tested my microphone locally and on a separate Linux machine and it works fine. A quick check of the device manager locally shows that the usb microphone is completely plug and play and does not use additional drivers. I’d be happy to provide further system lo
Hello! This is my first time posting on this forum! :) I have an odd problem. I play a few games on Shadow, but my main game is Overwatch (the others are also FPS games with the same problem). My issue is major input lag. When I first launch the game, for 30-45 seconds, no input lag, but after that, when I move my mouse, about 400ms after, the cross hair moves. The weird part is that if I tab out of the game (it’s still running) and reopen it, the lag goes away for another 30-45 seconds. Happens every time to all the games I tried (Apex, Fortnite, GTA V even an aim trainer I found on Steam). It has started about 2 months ago. I’m told that it’s the influx of people overloading their servers, but I’m hoping there’s another explanation/fix. To make this more interesting, I also use GeforceNow. ZERO issues. No input lag or any problems. On my end, I’m connected via Ethernet; 500mb/s up and down. I have an i7 and a 1060 Windows machine. I have like zero storage for games, which
I went on shadow today and it wouldn’t open and so I tried reinstalling it and when I installed it, it said Shadow is damaged and cannot be opened. I use MacOS so I’m assuming this is a problem to do with only Mac Shadow users. If anyone can get back to me soon that would be great!
Latency and Input lag with games installed on the auxiliary drive, extended solution that Shadow Tech offers
First of, this are my first topic creation and my second post on Shadow Tech new forum site, service, and I have been a subscriber since 2018 or so. My experience shows that games installed on the auxiliary drive, extended solution that Shadow Tech offers, gives variable latency that impact the playability of these games into unplayable state. The challenge may be two sided though; one through the default OS drive, and one through the auxiliary drive. For my side I do not foresee my connection to the Shadow are the issue, since I play Star Citizen though the service, see more on that below. At the moment I have this games running on the auxiliary drive: World of Warships - unplayable. This through EU, NA and Test servers for World of Warships. Restart stream do not help here. My Time At Portia - semi unplayable due to its gaming phases are mostly not real time and play wise can be manipulated by accessing menus and then Restart stream, with 8 out of 10 this works for a duration

I can reproduce it even changing the volume from windows volume icon without running any games. The ding sound gets distorted and crackling. It was like that since the beginning (20 days ago) I tried changing to stability mode, enabling/disabling high def audio, updated nvidia drivers, nothing worked. There are no glitches in the video, just the audio. Connected via ethernet cable, bandwidth is set to 70 MBPS, my internet BW is around 400 MBPS. Other: Date when problem appeared. (from the beginning, which is 20 days ago) Did you take any action(s) which could have created this problem? If so
