Windows 10 Pro, version 20H2 Shadow official client v3.14.6 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.71 GH Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 Datacenter: Paris Connection speed: DL 119Mb/s ; UL 10.74Mb/s ; Latency 22ms ; Jitter 3.85 Issue: The framerate is consistently low, and doesn’t match what the Shadow Quick Menu is saying (constant 60fps in the attached example), as if it was throttled somehow. For some reason, I noticed that only the mouse on the desktop looks super fluid when I move it, but anything else (dragging and dropping, opening menus, internet browsing, watching videos…) gets a lower framerate. Games are just as slow, but not slower. I usually use Shadow with my Macbook with the same broadband conditions and without a problem, but wanted to compare the experience with a PC laptop, so the issue seems with this PC only. Changing the limited frame rate on Shadow doesn’t change the issue. I’ve tested with a different monitor, and no luck so far. Hope you guys can help :)
Hey,I have black borders at the top and bottom of the screen. I want my Shadow to be on fullscreen, without these borders.I’m on macOS 12 with everything up to date.I try to change the resolution but it doesnt work and make my Shadow crash.Does anyone have ideas ?Thanks
Hello, I have shadow for several years. And I have had a problem for a few days.When I play Call of Duty Modern Warfare Multiplayer, I have latencies for a few seconds when in game. I don't know where it came from. I tested on my FIBER connection (900 mega constant) and on the connection from a friend's house, the same with another operator with 600 mega constant.I don't understand why I have this latency, it happens randomly in the game, in the middle of games.It is sure that it does not come from my connection.Do you have any ideas ?Good day.
Hello all. I cannot launch shadow on my macbook air 13 2017 intel i5. Whenever I click launch I get prompted to safari to login and then I click login and it prompts me to “Would you allow shadow to open?” I click on “Allow” and then nothing happens?
I am only able to see very few games in the lobby game list.I know this is a bug since it only happens when playing through Shadow.If I switch to my desktop PC at the same time, the list is full. Anyone else experiencing this or have an idea of how to fix?
Hi all, I’m thinking about to get myself the Valve Index VR glasses using and keep using my Shadow Ghost box. Would that work? Has anyone already collected experience with this? The only problem I see at the moment is that at least a displayport 1.2 is required, but the Shadow Ghost box only has an HDMI 2.0 output.Maximum data rate is slightly lower An adapter from HDMI to Displayport is neededWhat about the latency? I have a default latency of 30ms, with 1GB/s speed. On-top the ms for rendering shadow. What are the limits for the VR experience to be smooth?Thanks
Ok I just got this and I’ve been playing around with it for a couple of hours now but I cannot get this to work at all. I can get audio through my monitor but I need it coming through my USB adapter for headphones/mic. Firstly I went on to the hub thing and under USB peripherals my device is displayed. I check the box, I hear it disconnecting from my main PC then nothing… No audio no device listed on shadow. Restarted shadow, still nothing. Removed all devices and uninstalled drivers, tried again still nothing. I then tried with my external HD, same issue as before… The box is ticked in shadow USB peripherals but nothing showing up on the shadow PC.. no way to access the drive. Even if I try to set my main PC to default to my USB audio device then start shadow it still has no sound what so ever. Only when I play audio through either of my 3 monitors do I actually get sound. When I have my USB audio selected I can hear the USB disconnecting every few mins…. Am I doing something wrong
Hi all,All of a sudden my Shadow starting stuttering every 5 seconds or so when running a game, the Shadow Control Panel showing packet losses. I was hoping this would be a temporarily thing, but it's now the second day of doing this.My internet speed is a steady 200 to 220mbps, I only connect through ethernet and no settings have changed on my router or at my ISP lately. I think I connect through the Amsterdam server and that's showing no issues.I've tried the Windows and Mac versions of Shadow and they both have the same issue.For some games it will be a minor Audio stutter, but others will stutter in the Audio & Video, making them pretty difficult to play.Is anyone else experiencing any issues since December 10th all of a sudden?If so / not, does anyone have any idea what I can do to stop this from happening?Any help is greatly appreciated, since I can barely use Shadow with this issue.
Hello, trying to play VR and the image is all blocky and unplayable. I am set to 5ghz... less than 20 ms latency, 118 mbps download speed. So God dam fed up right now, I have seen people playing with a good display with less. Is there anything I can do whatsoever? Pretty fed up with shadow right now
Hi!I have two notebooks:A) Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 260 (Intel HD Graphics 520)B) Lenovo Thinkpad T440s (Intel HD Graphics 4400)Both run identically versions of Arch Linux (EndeavourOS). Both are fresh installs so no messed up configurations/drivers/packages. Window Manager is i3wm on X11.Using current official Shadow AppImage but testet beta with the same results.Machine A is running Shadow without any problem. hey there I was hopping you can help me.I have installet shadow in a MacBook Air. and I usely conect a old tv via Thunderbolt/hdmi, but when I use shadow I can't get any audio, unless I unplug the tv, and use the bild in speakers in my Mac.I have tryd to see if I can select the tv in win10 control panel.but I can't get it to work.do you have any ideas?ps im new to shadow. I’m facing a strange bug , not critical but just some time annoyingThe shadow launcher on have regular small freeze/lag(beach ball rolling) and for time to time stop responding when starting shadow (force quit and restart the app make it functional again and shadow already ready)And I precise it’s the launcher which have this freezing issue, the stream with the shadow is working without incidents when started I’m on macos 11.6 (macbook pro 16 inch 2019)launcher v4.28.7If someone have some input of this random launcher bug I would appreciate it
Hello Everybody!Shadow recognizes the Thrustmaster Airbus joystick in the launcher and in the quick menu. At the same time, however, the local Windows computer loses the USB connection to the joystick. the local Windows computer removes and recognizes the joystick every 10 seconds. As soon as there is no connection to the Shadow, the joystick works locally without problems. I have already processed all FAQs with USB / Shadow Are there any known problems?Greats
I’m getting constant audio and video stuttering from my shadow. I use a 2019 MacBook Air on 5ghz WiFi, and I’ve had this issue before, just not in the capacity that it is occurring now. When I play games, the FPS in the game is fine, I have no issues with that, but the streaming is just incredibly laggy. If you guys have any idea how to fix it, let me know.
