Idk if I’m supposed to login with my own microsoft account now but when my shadow was activated earlier this year I didn’t have to login. Hoping for a reply because im not too sure what Im supposed to do lol. My datacenter is paris if this information is needed as well Update: Just logged in after 1 hour, seems to have logged in and working now
There was a previous thread that highlighted this issue; however, it was listed as solved. I am unsure if this is a server problem or a new issue since in the past using the same Dell S2721QS 4K monitor there was no visual stuttering and tearing that now occurs within games. It occurs every second as a sudden halt and visual artifact which makes me think it is a monitor issue, but the steps and troubleshooting examples in the other thread make no change in the problem. The only solution I have found is changing the resolution of the game to 1440p, but as you can imagine it makes the image washed out on the 4K monitor I am using. Again, I am unsure if this is a hardware or a server problem since in actuality, I was using the Chicago server before these problems occurred and did not use the service for at least six months in between its shuttering. If anyone has a solution or suggestions to solve the issue, I would appreciate it.
Hello everyone ! I have had this issue for about 3 weeks now. It started pretty much out of nowhere. I am on a Macbook Pro M1.From time to time, I have a shadow popup stating that it has detected a new microphone named “Microsoft Teams Audio” : I don’t have microphones activated in Shadow and never had this popup in more than a year using Shadow. It is not that bothering since I mostly play solo games (Doing The Witcher series right now) but it can be upsetting since it can happen 2 or 3 times in a 3 minutes window. It is pretty rare though. Most of the time it happens once every hours.I tried uninstalling microsoft teams from my computer but I still have the popup.Does someone have an idea of what it can be ?
If I go to resize a window I move the cursor to the corner, but the cursor doesn’t change. I have to move it a few millimeters to the right and down a little and then it recognizes that’s where the corner is. It’s doing this with everything. If I want to change tabs in Discord, or click anything in a browser, it’s always just slightly lower right of where it should be. Anyone know how to adjust this?
I have every possible slider cranked up as far as it can go and it absolutely does not feel like it. I am currently using USB 2.0 ports as the 3.0’s can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to working. Any help at all to fix this is appreciated.
I seem to be getting numerous updates firstly on a PC , updating graphics drivers, which it did yesterday and then similar on my mac all on the same day. It can take 10 minutes before I can log into Shadow. It is making Shadow useless. Why is this happening and update graphics drivers are off? I dread to use Shadow in consequence. All users want to do is having rapid access as possible.
Hello All!After the most recent update (on 4/27/2022) i found myself completely unable to use my controller. It is a wired xbox controller and it has never once given me a problem untill now. I tried the shut down and restart method, and uninstalled Shadow multiple times. Whenever i plug in my controller, it gives an error code and prompts me to do the same steps again. This occured immediately AFTER the update, so im think that had something to do with it. If anyone has any other ideas, i would be VERY grateful. My good friend just bought me Elden Ring and i was enjoying getting absolutely torn to shreds. I would like to continue doing so. :)
Today I reinstalled MacOS Monterey on my Mac Mini (intel, 2018) and got a chance to test with the Shadow color enhancement issue that had been there for a while. To my surprise, the feature works fine with integrated graphics (Intel UHD630) but fails to start when the monitor takes input from my eGPU (RX 580 8G). Here is the screenshot of the error. Once the color enhancement option is disabled, the launcher works just fine.
So I’m trying to improve my experience using ALVR streaming from Ghost to Quest and I understand that a lot of non cloud PC ALVR users use the built in windows hotspot to stream to their quest rather than sending it back through the network. However, as I remember the hotspot option is greyed out in Shadow’s windows. Makes sense as the hotspot would be in server as opposed to local. I’m thinking though, could I use a dongle in the back of the Ghost as a WiFi hotspot- and if so, how would I switch it on? Is this even possible?
When using shadow, about every 2.5 min the video and audio will not send to my display for 10 sec. This is not a problem with the shadow pc because when using virtual desktop with my quest it works fine. I’m using my old laptop and the shadow app and it used to work just fine.
Anyone has a solution.I only get black screens and no connections after trying to connect to Shadow.Windows app = black screen after startup.Android app = black screen after ‘ wait for video ‘ message.Restarted and reloaded the app. All are latest versions.Internet at home is 300 down and 35 up with 1 ms latency. No bg apps running. The answers from Shadow have been vague and I suspect there are major issues in their service. Unfortunately I dont pay 30 bucks for a non working service.Thnx. Anyone?P
I can’t get Razer Nari to play both music and recognize my mic. My mic works fine, but whenever i play a youtube video/listen to music the audio will go in and out, work for a few seconds, then start cutting out again. I have usb peripherals enabled and I’ve disabled all potential audio devices except for the nari’s. The headset works fine on my local device which leads me to believe it’s an issue with shadow. Anyone have a fix?
When I start a stream it just opens up a still screen and my controllers arent tracked or my head movements. I cant click anything and I spawn below the floor. I have tried restarting my shadow, uninstalling and reinstalling steamvr, changing steamvr settings, changing my oculus guardian are etc. and nothing has worked.
So I'm very new to this. I have the app downloaded and running on my fire TV, loads the desktop fine. I'm using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse with a USB dingle plugged into the TV. Works fine as far as I can tell. I used it to input my validation code. The issue I'm having is actually using the shadow. I can see the mouse moving but clicking or typing doesn't appear until I leave the app and open it back up. Any suggestions?
Hey,I have black borders at the top and bottom of the screen. I want my Shadow to be on fullscreen, without these borders.I’m on macOS 12 with everything up to date.I try to change the resolution but it doesnt work and make my Shadow crash.Does anyone have ideas ?Thanks
Hello everyone, I’m just wondering if anyone could potentially help me with an issue I’ve been having for the past 2 days, I will launch my Shadow, and all is well, my microphone works perfectly, and then after around 5-10 minutes, my Shadow will freeze for roughly 10-15 seconds and after it has unfroze, my microphone has stopped working, and the only thing I can do to fix this issue is restarting my Shadow. I am certain it is not my internet, as I use ethernet and 5ghz. I also believe it is not my microphone, which is a HyperX Quadcast S, because I only got it around a month ago.
