Is there any way I can keep my shadow from going afk?
I am trying to download a somewhat big game and it says it will take like 3 hours to complete. Now i have to actively move the cursor or else eventually it will shut off automatically so i have to constantly monitor it for when the afk countdown starts. Is there any way i can disable this for the time being?
Shadow keeps going back to 1080p on 4k screen
Hello Shadowers!I have a problem with using shadow on my new PC. I've already contacted the shadow support, but they were unable to help me so far. I turn to you looking for others having the same problem.The problem is I have a 4k 30fps TV and no matter what I do shadow keeps going back to 1080p.I tried using shadow beta, display safe mode, custom resolutions in nvidia control panel, I've updated all the drivers on my pc and shadow pc. Nothing helps Each time I try to change resolution to anything higher than 1080p it just goes back immediately.I've tried using my friend's laptop with my setup and everything works just fine, so the problem is my PC. It is notable that my friend's laptop recommends 3840x2160 in windows display settings which is correct and my pc recommends 4096x2160 which is wrong.Has anyone had a similar issue?Additional info:CPU: Intel i7-2600GPU: AMD Radeon R7 200 series
Increasing latency USB Wheel and Pedals
Hi there fellow shadow-people, when using my G29 (wheel) and T-LCM (pedals) connected to the USB 3.0 everything just works fine the first couple of minutes. After that there is an increasingly latency that creeps up until it is unplayable. Strang thing: this does not happen all the time, but most of the times. Unplugging the wheel and pedals resets the issue, but how Shadow works the wheel loses connection to the game and I have to restart the game (very annoying mid race).I have fiber 200mb up and download and connected by cable. Tried connecting the wheel and pedals using an powered USB splitter to see if that helps (no luck).It seems the problem is more noticeable in main-time. So when most people are using Shadow. Could the servers having issues handling the traffic?I monitored the package losses and the stability of the connection; nothing out of the ordinary there…Any suggestion / help would be welcome!
GPU Glitching frequently during games?
Throughout hours of gameplay on multiple games, I have been experiencing a solid 5-10 second freeze in audio as well as video. They don’t often happen at the same time, audio first, then a minute or two later, it’s my video, then my audio again after another few minutes. When my video cuts out, upon catching up, or coming back, my display will be distorted. Pixels all scattered and misplaced. Serious GPU issues it seems. I tried many different settings, and then decided to factory reset my personal laptop, and even reset my shadow system, everything wiped clean. Yet, the issue persists. I have absolutely no Idea what it might be. My internet is fully functional and sending the same speeds as always. First week of Shadow has been amazing, but second and third, issues have become much more frequent.
shadow auto shutdown
I find it kind of annoying that Shadow limits your connection and will force shutdown your session if your not active in a very short time frame. I am an avid flight sim user that requires downloading of 100+gb files and takes a long time, it ridiculous that I have to be active in my session or else it shuts down. everyone please start complaining about this and dont try and say covid. a freaking virus means absolutely nothing in a datacenter, coming from a guy who does huge cloud migrations for fortune 50 companies. This honestly will prevent me from renewing my shadow. It used to never be like that.
Awful first experience so far, cant download or log in...
I was excited to see the email saying my instance was ready, but unfortunately there is a 404 error for the windows 64 bit download. I looked around and saw the beta windows 64 bit installer and was able to download that. Once downloaded it will not allow me to log in… I use the same login email and password I use for my account on the web and it just keeps sayign it is wrong.
Help Error Code: 0x80070141 when trying to download xbox game pass for pc games
Every time I try to download a game (or update a game) on the xbox game pass it throws up Error Code: 0x80070141 and wont download - is it just me? is anyone else having this issue ( it is not the ntfs issue as I reformatted my D Drive with the correct allocation and game all used to work fine but do not now) - Any advice anyone can give me would be appreciated as I really want to play Microsoft flight sim 2020 but it wont let me until I update it and it will not let me update it. Extreme packet loss across platforms when connecting from Taiwan

Ever since arriving in Taiwan, I’ve had this particular issue across various networks and connections (mobile, home internet, ethernet/wifi). My shadow is stuck on 'Choose your Keyboard layout'
Hello!I’ve just started up my shadow and it had an update. The thing is, I am expected to ‘Choose a keyboard layout’ in Windows 10, however, I cannot access the window as it is only the preview window that is shown. I can’t reboot it either. Any ideas?Screenshot
A way to disable the automatic connection of generic gamepads?
Hello guys, could someone tell me how to deactivate the automatic recognition of gamepads on Shadow?, since I am having problems with shadow and the driver of my gamepad, it does not allow me to start it, I would only like to be able to activate my gamepad from USB periphericals (Not from the controllers section) and with it FIX the recognition Automatic and error with Shadow an the gamepad driver. Simple 3.5 mm connected Microphone is not working
Hello,I currently run into this issue on both the Beta Client of Shadow and the Standard Client, running on a Windows 10, Surface 7 Pro. I don’t recall ever getting the mic to work. I have tested with the built in mic on the front of the Surface and with a Simple Samsung Headset/Mic with a 3.5mm connector. Here is an image showing that Shadow sees my devices in the Shadow Overlay but windows inside shadow only ever sees ‘External Headset (Shadow Virtual Audio device)’ regardless of the mic I use, though I am unclear if that would be the case even if it did work. I have attempted to disconnect and reconnect my External mic while shadow is running and Shadow prompts me to enable or ignore the mic. Surface is up to date and so are the drivers.Any and all help is appreciated.
Latency spike late afternoon, 10/14/2020?
Application type MAC Shadow Client Version - official launcher v-4.17.16, client v-3.4.61 my machine Local device 2.8 quad core Intel i7 Local device AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB w/ Intel Iris Pro 1536mb Datacenter location NY Connection speed Description of issue - this consistent ping of 50 began around 5:30pm 10/14/2020 after no changes on my end. I had consistent 31 and under since my Shadow came online in early September. Any help would be appreciated! My MacBook Pro is hard wired to my router, and I can connect via wifi on my iPhone without the same issue. Other: Date when problem appeared. Did you take any action(s) which could have created this problem? Major Audio glitching since this new update
Since this latest client update I am getting constant audio stutter, within games and even when simply playing a video of YT. Nothing has changed on my end and it worked flawlessly before yesterdays update. States in the update note changes to the audio to use less CPU but whatever was done has now broken it completely. This is a standard laptop running Windows 10. I’ve tried restarting Shadow and my laptop and altering the bandwidth settings makes no difference, this needs looking into or simply reverting back to the previous client or at least make the pervious one available because as it stands the service isn’t fit for purpose, shame as Shadow is the best of the best for Cloud Services.
using a bluetooth sony headset and attaching microphone to shadow
My Sony headset Works perfectly om my local machine with both microphone and audio output, and plays audio from shadow just fine as Long as i don't connect the microphone to shadow. But as Soon as i connect the build in microphone to shadow All audio output stops. Any suggestions for what the issue could be?
stuck in 800x600 resolution
for a long time now i have had to start my shadow in safe mode for it to detect the right resolution, now, since the update the other the option to turn on safe mode is gone and now my shadow has been completely unusable… where the heck did the old settings go and why did they move them….

Microphone is not working
Hi, I use a USB Wireless Headset called the “Logitech G933” and since my computer doesn’t come with a microphone jack I can’t use the headphone/microphone jack so, I have to use the usb connector that it came with. When I use the usb connector on my shadow, without fowarding it to shadow, the mic doesn’t work. When I foward it, my sound cutting out. And my mic still not working. Is there anyway to fix this?
