I have connected my PlayStation 4 controller to my iPad, however it only works inside of Shadow if I bring up the virtual controller, I don’t like this because it’s very distracting actually trying to play the game. If I close the virtual controller it disconnects the PlayStation controller. Please help!
So, I fly tiny whoops in Velocidrone and my laptop has a hard time with the complex scenery and I get lag. So, I figured Shadow would be perfect for this because I have great internet. I installed Velocidrone on Shadow, launched it, and connected my controller (An FrSky X-Lite with a USB receiver dongle). When I fly, my controller responds ok, but what I see is like really slow stop animation, it’s not a smooth picture. I don’t know what the problem is because when I installed Shadow, it said my internet was perfect and I know that to be true, so is there another problem I’m missing? I’m not sure what to do.
Hello, I have two Thrust Master 16000M joysticks connected to my PC and the Shadow sees them as xbox controllers. I have the updated drivers for them installed. They used to work before and could be properly configured when we had the option to “mount” USB devices and now they no longer register properly and they cant be configured. Please help it’s been months and my emails to tech support basically told me to wait for the next version.
Shadow does not automatically detect nor save screen resolution settings. The article “Using Automatic Resolution and Frame Rate Settings in Shadow”, is invalid as “Safe Display Mode” (which must be manually enabled every time), automatic resolution settings both do not work , and there are no manual resolution/framerate settings in the launcher. I’ve tried the released and beta launchers. NVIDIA control panel is able to detect my native resolution.
Hey all! I’m running the Shadow Boost (via my MacBook Pro) and I’ve been trying to play Doom Eternal via Steam and it doesn’t seem to work. When I click the launch button it says that the game is running. After a few seconds it plays an alert tone (it’s the alert tone from Metal Gear Solid? I have no idea why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yGfQak-q9M), and then a few seconds later the game quits and Steam switches from running back to launch game. No UI pops up or anything. Has anyone seen anything like this for Doom Eternal or any other game? Would appreciate the help!
For about the last half year or so, I’ve been putting up with regular lag spikes. Every fifteen minutes, approximately, I experience two “pauses” in the shadow stream. The video and the audio both freeze for a moment, unpause, then freeze again. After that, the video encoding is messed up until I get a new keyframe. It’s just two quick pauses, but it means for about ~20 seconds I can’t do anything. The ping spikes are usually ~2000ms although they have gone as high as 16800ms. https://i.imgur.com/IdGa3qy.png This is a colossal annoyance because I do like to play games on the internet with other people. In any sort of competitive fashion, regularly being unable to act for almost a half a minute is absolutely maddening. There is no ping loss. I get the same result but with differing looking symptoms whether I use TCP or UDP. The shadow speed test shows great ping with negligible jitter. All this said, I feel the need to say that I am pretty sure it’s NOT the shadow system it
The loading bar for the stream gets to about 80% and just stops moving… the message says wait were almost there but I’ve been trying since 22:00 yesterday.. Im starting think its lying lol. I understand times are difficult but was hoping for a rough timescale so i know wether to stop trying to log in or not
Hi! Client: Android (Nvidia shield 2017) Game: Minecraft dungeons Problem: Game lacks native ds4 support. The ds4 controller works perfectly via the pc client while using extended dualshock 4 compability, sadly the android client does not support that funtion yet. Google led me to ‘ds4windows’ as the supperior solution when you want to emulate a ds4 controller as an xbox while playing windows store games, howerever the software wont detect the ds4 controller when running on shadow. Would love any and all ideas on how to get this working so that I can skip the hassle of having to connect a computer everytime we want to play this game.
Hello everyone, I don’t know why, but every like 5 min, I have to do win+alt+r to make my shadow work normally because the streaming crashes. It’s strange because that’s append only when I have little ping spikes (like 5ms more than usual). Can someone tell my what to do in this case please … Thanks for your answer.
Hi, I’m on macOS Mojave with a MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015. I have a USB mouse which sort of works without USB forwarding, but noticed it definitely has hiccups (not responsive to clicking, etc) and found out that usb forwarding for peripherals should in theory resolve this. However, after installing the usb forwarding drivers, my MacBook’s bluetooth stops working. What happens: I installed the drivers. When I do this, bluetooth icon shows that it’s no longer available. This is resolved by restarting my laptop. After restarting my laptop, bluetooth is again available but it becomes unresponsive. When trying to turn on or off, it doesn’t do anything. When trying to connect to my bluetooth headphones, it won’t. Uninstalling the drivers and then restarting my laptop resolves bluetooth issues. I’ve installed, restarted, uninstalled, restarted 3 times and behaviour has repeated. So I’m fairly confident the shadow drivers are to blame. Any ideas if this is a
Hello all, I am new to Shadow and looking forward to my activation to get started. Currently I have an Ipad Pro 2020 connected over USB-C to a Philips UltraWide supporting 1440p @ 100hz. IOS does not seem to scale well on UltraWide monitors, except of Apple TV and Netflix movies it seems to be locked at 4:3 aspect ratio. My assumption is that shadow will therefore also not work in full screen. Also it’s hard to determine if the IPad allows an output of more than 60hz. Even though the screen is 120hz of the IPad Pro. When I can start using Shadow I would love to be able to play full screen and on 100hz On my monitor. I know a 1080 is not strong enough for all games to run at 100hz, but some lighter games will do fine. What device do you recommend to connect to this monitor and to be able play shadow in 1440p @ 100hz? Thanks, tim
Hi all, I am not too technial and experienced, so please bear with me - my questions relate to my Shadow Infinite instance Will Shadow ever be able to support 4k 120Hz and beyond? - At the moment the Shadow Ghost hardware is limited to 60hz. Is there a plan in future to move up, as having a very powerful GPU seems to be wasted at only 60Hz/60FPS? If you set screen resolution to 1,920x1,080 HD (connected to a 144Hz monitor / screen), shadow allows 144Hz - does windows automatically detect this and set the windows resolution to 144Hz? Or will you have to go in and manually change.
I am using an Android Box to display Shadow on my TV. It works OK. But there are some annoyances with Hardware Keyboards. Windows Key not received by the shadow VM. This is also a problem with other stuff like ALT+TAB I tested different Keyboards to validate the problem. Is this a common Problem, or is it just me? Have others had the same problem and can it be fixed?
i logged onto shadow this morning and suddenly shadow cannot detect my microphone but it works on my local pc, i have all the settings in security and privacy all enabled for shadow, my mute mic button on my headset is not on and i have tried to switch to the beta and alpha builds to see if that fixes it but it doesn’t and all versions had USB peripherals turned on with the drivers installed. does anyone have any ways to fix this.
Because I am a idiot that wanted gamepad to work, I innstalled shadow and the the USB drivers for macOS Big Sur beta 1. The MacBook Pro in question is now stuck in a boot loop. I have looked for the driver to delete, but can not seem to find it. If you guys even remember the name of it (I can not remember, even thought I accepted the macOS secutiry prompt), that would make it easier to troubleshoot. Safe mode works. Hi there, I hope you guys can give me some advice. Whenever I hook up my Nacon Unlimited Controller on my Shadow Ghost the input lag increases. So when I start it reacts directly without lag, after 1 minute the lag is noticeable, after 2 minutes the lag is starting to get annoying, after a few minutes more the game is unplayable. Disconnecting the USB and plugging it back in repeats the cycle. So it starts with direct and the lag increases as the time goes by. I have this problem on several games I play with the controller. Can someone shed some advice on this problem? Using a Ghost by the way and the controller is connected to the USB 3.0 ports
Hello. I have been really enjoying Shadow since my activation on Wednesday. I experienced really great customer customer service on a technical issue upon activation. Things have been pretty good so far. I have noticed that I am unable to type into “saving as boxes” of a specific Windows program from my mobile app on my IPhone 10. The program is Blender 2.83. (3D animation software) So far this is the only program that I have noticed such an issue on the mobile app. It’s also the program that I use the most.
