So I’ve been using for about 2 or 3 days now and so far its been great.. until my mouse had insane latency in games. When I load up the launcher and start a game its fine but during that same game it will randomly increase in latency which I am very sensitive to. I can fix that latency by pressing windows key twice, restarting the stream, and unplugging and replugging in the mouse. The games I notice this in and the only games I do play on shadow are GTAV and Warzone. I do know it is not a problem with my connection as it is 110mb/s and I do not think it is my mouse as it is completely fine in every other scenario (even though it is a cheap offbrand wireless mouse...) Please help me with this problem!
Hi, This morning i received an email about my Shadow being ready for use. So i start shadow, it tests my latency and ping etc etc. Everything is fine. It start updating and at 100% he said ‘restarting shadow...’ but after 1h, it was still ‘restarting shadow...’. So i closed the shadow app, start shadow again and now im stuck on this screen for like 30 minutes and it wont change. (cant start shadow either) Is there a solution at my side i can do or is there a ‘problem’ at your side Shadow? Kind regards, Niels
Hello I’m new to shadow had it about 5 days love it i am running on 2500k 970 graphics card 8 mb ram internet is about 76mb and a ping of about 18 when turning in games the screen distorts in different areas is this normal do I need to upgrade processor or graphics card or have I got a setting wrong any help would be great thanks
This is pretty technical and long, sorry about that. Hoping someone from Shadow might see this I guess. Has anyone else observed this or can test this to verify I’m not crazy? The Windows app for Shadow (5.0.605) appears to have some general performance issues which impacts streaming quality. Not sure if this is known, but I’ll explain what I’m seeing. There are 2 scenarios where a decrease in streaming performance can observed during ideal conditions… at https://www.testufo.com/, and while playing Doom Eternal (might not be specific to the game, but it’s reproducible there). Local specs: 1Gb fiber connection, ethernet, 5ms ping to Shadow data center. Local PC is an Alienware Area51 R2 with a GeForce 980ti. 120hz monitor. Scenario 1: When tracking the UFOs at https://www.testufo.com/, there is a microstuttering pattern… it occurs every 8-10 seconds, like clockwork, and lasts for about 2 seconds per incident (with Shadow configured for 50mb… at lower Shadow speeds, the duration
Every time I go to play on my Shadow there appears to be a small child in front of it. Here am I desperately wanting to slaughter monsters and explore new landscapes in the Witcher 3 or just blow the s**t out of everything in Just Cause, but instead what is on the screen is Roblox with the small child demanding that I pay for more Robux. Even if I do get on the Shadow with them then I'm forced to Lego Harry Potter or Lego Batman. Please help. Roblox looks beautiful on the Shadow but I'm sure it's capable of more than this. I recently activated my shadow and it was great for the first week. Now the streaming sucks and the image is distorted and freezes. I am very disappointed. :C I now can not run any of my games and this really sucks. If this is not fixed i will cancel this service.
This is something that just started happening over the last week or so. I realized one day that my aim and sensitivity was extremely slow in Apex Legends. I typically run 800 DPI, default windows sensitivity, and 1.9 in game on Apex, which is roughly 27.3cm / 360. When I measured my mouse distance after noticing the slower sensitivity, it was almost exactly half, or 27.3cm / 180. I tested 4 other FPS games, and all had the same issue. I checked every setting on my local and Shadow PC, nothing has been changed, and I even installed Apex on my local PC, with all the same settings, and my sensitivity was fine, so I know it’s an issue with Shadow. Also, changing the sensitivity on the Shadow control panel changed my sensitivity on the desktop, but not in-game. I realize that I can temporarily solve the issue by just doubling my in-game sensitivity, or doubling my DPI, but I would like to solve the issue, as I use sensitivity converters for FPS games, and having to use incorrect settings
Soo Today the day came.. i cant play Modern Warfare anymore since the storage is full.. i really hope the storage on AMS will be available very very soon, cuz im out of use of my shadow again… does anyone have a suggestion for fixing this or how i can still play it
I was happy to see Shadow apparently supports PS3 controllers. It recognizes my controller as one but no buttons work. I’m using something that emulates the controller as an Xbox 360 one. It works alright, but it increases input lag. Am I missing a driver or something that will make the PS3 controller work on Shadow as just a “PS3 controller”?
Hello, My Xbox controller is no longer working on my Shadow. It is paired and shows connected to the Ghost, but Windows does not see the controller. It has worked without issue for the past few months. I've tried: - Re-pairing the controller - Rebooting the Ghost - Rebooting Windows - Shutting down the Shadow completely and rebooting - Un-installing the Shadow Virtual Gamepad driver in Windows and re-installing The controller is detected and works via the Android app, but not the Ghost. I am running the latest Ghost stable.
Has anyone managed to map a networked drive to their system? I'm trying to map an FTP that I'm running from a home NAS (and yes it's working on the WAN), however when I try to map it to W10 it gives me an DNS error. I can easily get to it from an ftp client in Shadow, so it is working. The only thing I can think of is that Shadow has turned of drive mapping in the Group Policy.
i have had an issue after a recent update of shadow where ingame the sens its still the same as before and so if my dpi but for some reason it feels like it is slower, much slower. Any of you have dealt with this issue?. I had to put my sens in game up and still cant fight my right sens because i was already used to playing at the sens that was set before the update that messed it up.
Yesterday I was upgraded to the Infinite package (yeah!) from the original, now known as Boost package. My USB 3.0 ports no longer recognize anything. Prior to the upgrade everything just worked and never had an issue. My Razer products aren’t being recognized nor do they work at all. I get the “device not recognized” error from windows. I had to switch my keyboard and mouse over to USB 2 in order for them to work at all. My headset with mic was my most important piece of equipment when gaming and it just does not work. Anyone else have or had this issue? Any known fixes??
So I recently found out that since the last updates, I couldnt open some programs anymore. But they worked before like 1 week ago, it may changed after some updates from windows. But the error I'm getting is: cant run on a virtual machine. And this drives me crazy!! Cause it sucks when something did work, and now it's somehow not!! Need help
Hey guys, recently I’ve been having a problem whenever I try to full screen my whole computer just crashes it comes up with the your windows ran in to a problem screen and restarts my whole computer. This only happens trying to full screen. I do have the setting on for, Full screen on start up and that works but sometimes I’ll go on my actual computer so I have to go windowed mode and once I go back on shadow it freezes and comes up with the message.
