Grand Theft Auto 5 XBOX Controller Problem? My side? or Client side?
Hello Shadow Community, Whenever I would play GTA 5 Online, my XBOX controller would sometimes be unresponsive and disconnect for couple of minutes. Has this happened to anyone with external USB peripherals? Was wondering if it’s my side of the end, or the client side, or even Shadow PC? I’ve done the usual, such as restarted streaming client and resetting USB connections but the unresponsive and disconnect still happens time to time.

Stop the updates
I DREAD to use Shadow because every time I log on, I have to wait 10-15 minutes for the “updates”. There are usually several a week. Why not stagger them to once a month to make the user experience more pleasurable? It is getting like using a PS4 where again there are numerous “updates” which are largely trivial.
What to do if shadow is stuck onstartiny shadow
I’m making this post to help you guys on what to do when your shadow launcher is stuck on step 2: starting shadow. Well what you do is you have to click on the question mark button at the top right of the shadow launcher. Then what you do is you press turn off shadow. After that you don’t start it up right away but you wait 5-10 minutes then it will be working fully. Thanks! If it still doesn’t work contact shadow support
Bluetooth Connections Non-supported devices general
Short version: Will the development team need to account for each unique bluetooth device type that is eventually compatible with Shadow PC, or should most bluetooth devices work without issue? My case: I’m building out a golf simulator with a few different bluetooth devices, and I’ve been unable to get them to connect. I’m using MacOS Catalina, and the devices aren’t appearing as available for connection in my bluetooth settings. I’m assuming MacOS connections weren’t accounted for given the software is PC based. I’d like to use Shadow if possible, so I’m considering purchasing a cheap PC laptop in hopes that if I can get the devices connected that they’ll appear as available for use in Shadow. However, if that will not be the case, and the Shadow team would need to accommodate each unique device specifically, then I’d rather not purchase the cheap laptop for a test that will definitely fail. Anyone have any insight? For reference, I’m currently messing around wi
uplay store not compatible with shadow
Hey guys, I have purchased a game from uplay store and when I logged in to shadow I didn't see it in my order history!! It turned out that uplay has a separate store for each country. And as you know shadow moves you to a different server each day. Which means you can't download and play any game you purchase on uplay as it wouldn't be available on shadow when you login to your account. If anyone has a similar or different experience please let me know

XBOX One Controller not working anymore on Ghost Alpha
Hey! The XBOX Controller doesn't work anymore when it's used on Ghost Alpha over Bluetooth. On connect it doesn't vibrate anymore. It shows up in the joy.cpl but recognize no input. When I switch to the Beta Client it connects instantly in the Loginscreen of the Ghost while vibrating and works like it should. Maybe you can look into that issue, before it gets into Beta or Official Client.

General Resolution TipsF.A.Q.
Welcome to the one stop shop for all your resolution questions. Shadow is a live stream, unlike that of Netflix and Hulu which can buffer, and thus streaming greatly depends on the strength of your internet connection. The stream quality also depends on how much bandwidth you have allocated to Shadow. We recommend setting your allocated bandwidth at 10 to 15 Mb/s lower than your highest download speed. By having a stable connection, you will experience less lag and stutter. Here are some of our helpful help center articles to get you started: Using Automatic Resolution and Frame Rate Settings in Shadow Using the NVIDIA Control Panel in Shadow Poor Image Quality on Shadow Shadow has a Low Resolution S:101 An Issue Happened with the Streaming Service Improve Frame Rate In-Game Black Screen on the Netflix App for Window If you ever experience BSOD, enable the Display Safe Mode in the launcher settings. Mouse Cursor ModesF.A.Q.
If you ever notice that your mouse is behaving oddly in-game (i.e., the camera spins around, your viewing angle points up or down, or you can’t control it properly), please use our Mouse Modes (unlocked or locked) within Shadow. You can cycle through these modes via the shortcut Alt + Windows + M (Windows) / Command + Option + M (MacOS). Please note that this is only available for our desktop apps. If you are on macOS Catalina or higher, please try allowing Shadow to monitor inputs on your Mac. This setting can be added through your Mac's Security and Privacy page. As a reference, I have a included the screenshot below: If you’re on mobile, please connect a controller to improve your experience. You can also enable our virtual controller too.
Tips on Alleviating Start IssuesF.A.Q.
Most launcher errors can be solved by restarting your Shadow. If you ever encounter any error codes or issues with starting your Shadow, please try shutting down your Shadow completely from the launcher. You can reach this by clicking on the help icon “?” at the top right corner. Select the “Shut Down Shadow” option and it will turn your Shadow off. Please wait about 5 to 10 minutes before starting Shadow again. It may take some time for Shadow to shut down if it has had difficulty starting. This will allow you to try and re-establish a fresh connection when starting. Check out Help Center for a list of error messages and the information associated with each error code/message: https://help.shadow.tech/hc/en-gb/sections/360001048853--Error-Messages
Tips for Reducing Lag on ShadowF.A.Q.
Shadow is a live stream, unlike that of Netflix and Hulu which can buffer, and thus streaming greatly depends on the strength of your internet connection. This includes your download speed, upload speed, latency (ping), and jitter. Lag is the noticeable delay between your inputs and the reaction of the server, which can degrade your experience with Shadow. For example, you’re moving your mouse but there is a delay on the stream when the mouse moves. This occurs when your network connection is not optimal, as Shadow reads inputs from your PC and is transmitted to Shadow and then the action is streamed to you. Having minimal latency on your network will help alleviate any lag you may experience. As of now, you can set a Shadow stream bit rate to run between 5 Mb/s to 70 Mb/s which dictates the visual quality of the stream; just be sure you have the proper bandwidth and are aware of any data limitations you may have. Setting your bandwidth allocation higher than your max download speed c
