Question

iPad Cursor Functionality

Hello!

I have had Shadow for a while now and use it both on my laptop and on my iPad.

I have used it on my iPad for at least a year with no problems.

I use a magic keyboard and magic mouse connected via bluetooth.

However, some months ago, I ran into a bug where, upon pressing the escape key on my keyboard while using the Shadow app, the iPad cursor dot appears on top of the Shadow app and the mouse no longer controls the cursor within Shadow.

When I left-click the screen at this point, the app zooms in slightly, but does I cannot regain control of my Shadow this way. Instead, I have to go to the home screen on my iPad and re-enter the Shadow app to regain control.

At this point everything works as intended - however, every time I press the escape key this bug reasserts itself.

If I use command-tab to switch to a different app and then switch back to Shadow, both the iPad and Shadow cursors appear on my screen, which not only is distracting, but since they move at different speeds, sometimes it activates touch features on top of my Shadow app when the iPad cursor reaches the top or bottom of the screen

This is especially frustrating when gaming and using the escape key is frequent and important, forcing me to frequently minimize and re-open the application for it to work.

Is there any way to disable this bug, and make the escape key only activate within Shadow, allowing me to maintain control of Shadow’s cursor without the iPad one appearing and forcing me to switch out of the Shadow app and back again?

Thank you for reading!
