Is there any way to get Razer Synapse on Shadow to recognise a Keyboard as Razer, and not just a USB input, so it works with the program?

As far as I can tell, the only way to get a lighting program on the shadow to recognize your devices is to use a Shadow ghost. I don’t have one myself, but I have heard that you have to use a certain USB port for it to forward properly (one of the USB 3.0s I think). Either way, I don’t think it’s possible without the ghost unfortunately.

Yes, I have used my shadow ghost to forward my Razer mamba elite mouse to Razer synapse on my shadow. And yes you have to use the USB 3.0 ports for USB over IP to work.

Well, you could use Virtual Here with Zerotier. It's a bit tricky but works perfect.

I had/have the same problem with a Corsair Scimitar Pro mouse and headset. It comes down to getting a fast consistent ping rate for the USB device to be recognised. For me that only happens if I use an ethernet cable directly in to my router.

I mainly use a Ghost, but I am able to get them RGB devices recognised in Corsair's iCue software on a laptop via the windows client. If I move the ghost to another location and connect using power line ethernet they are recognised when my home network is clear (Son and Daughter not online gaming too!). But it is only ever recognised on my laptop if I use a direct laptop to router cable. I tend to get an average connections speed of about 30 to 35.

The ideal way to do this would be to install that software on your local PC and setup macros, bindings, etc, through it. That should work

  • ZacharyT6: how did you manage to make it to work I have tried using my razer keyboard and configure on the razer synapse inside shadow and it didn't work??

  • I have only manage to in shadow only when using windows app

You would need to use USB over IP (USB peripherals feature) and pass them through to Shadow. Keep in mind that doing this will render the mouse and keyboard unusable locally since you basically plugged your mouse and keyboard into Shadow and it just looks like its plugged into your computer.

Thanks for reaching about with this question actually @Melker

Seeing how if you are not on a Shadow ghost, why not just install Synapse onto your device natively and run the lighting from there. It might be a pain to do but at least you get to use it. :)

Hey, i would definitely do this @Sail but i’m on a Mac - Razer Synapse 3 does not run on Mac unfortunately! Which is why i was reaching out about alternative methods, but thanks anyway!

Thanks, so can you do that in shadow, as a setting? And would you then be able to enable it every time you logged into your shadow, and then reconnect locally when you are done with your session? I appreciate the help.
