i logged onto shadow this morning and suddenly shadow cannot detect my microphone but it works on my local pc, i have all the settings in security and privacy all enabled for shadow, my mute mic button on my headset is not on and i have tried to switch to the beta and alpha builds to see if that fixes it but it doesn’t and all versions had USB peripherals turned on with the drivers installed. does anyone have any ways to fix this.

are you on catalina? if so when you start up shadow and go to the overlay does it show your microphone? if so go to windows sound devices and see if the mic is selected as default input device
ive left my mac at the office and can’t provide you the exact terminology
yes i am on catalina and yes my microphone does show up on my shadow but won’t allow to change the setting in from the shadow virtual microphone

Maybe take screenshots and post them.
So if shadow overlay does show your mic
then you want to go to the Windows sound settings (call up the windows menu) and type “manage audio devices”.
hit enter once the item shows up and you will get a window with different tabs. Go to recording tab and take a screenshot.
