Microsoft Surface Touchscreen not working

Currently, when I touch my screen on my tablet while logged onto Shadow it simply minimizes my windows and brings me to the desktop. In other words: I am not able to scroll via touch or use menu buttons in games with touch.

Is there a way around this? I have seen e.g. a streamer use the touch function on his iPad.

Hey @Ra. 

 

Sadly touchscreens don't seem to work on the desktop app. I have the same issue. I suggest making an idea in the forum to see if the development team can tackle the issue ASAP!

 

Keep us updated if you find a solution (I could use it.)

hello, I have the exact same problem on my Microsoft Surface 4 with the stable desktop app. When I click on my screen, the click on the shadow is done next to my finger instead of being on my finger, and my mouse disappears (forced to ctrl + alt + f click on the desktop of my surface and return to my shadow). I just have to click without doing it on purpose and it wastes my time. I also have the same mouse lag problem on my phone: sometimes when I click my cursor in shadow clicks next to it

Shadow has deployed a fix for this behavior in the current BETA version. You can download the beta launcher from your account page https://shdw.me/account → Applications. If this does not work for you, you may try pressing WIN+P, then selecting PC Screen only or Duplicate.

Glad to see this is still being worked on. I’m a new Shadow user hoping to keep using my Microsoft Surface Book 1. Luckily the CAD modeling and gaming I will be doing should keep me using my mouse and keyboard but when I forget and tap the screen when on the web it sometimes does and sometimes doesn’t click but it always hides the cursor until I open and close the quick menu. I also would like to use the Surface Pen eventually but those are all secondary to the current amazing offerings. Thanks for helping me save my Book, Shadow!
