Microsoft Teams Audio microphone popup

Hello everyone ! 

I have had this issue for about 3 weeks now. It started pretty much out of nowhere. I am on a Macbook Pro M1.

From time to time, I have a shadow popup stating that it has detected a new microphone named “Microsoft Teams Audio” : 

I don’t have microphones activated in Shadow and never had this popup in more than a year using Shadow. It is not that bothering since I mostly play solo games (Doing The Witcher series right now) but it can be upsetting since it can happen 2 or 3 times in a 3 minutes window. It is pretty rare though. Most of the time it happens once every hours.

I tried uninstalling microsoft teams from my computer but I still have the popup.

Does someone have an idea of what it can be ?

Hey! Can you try looking in your sound input devices on your mac? Maybe even though you uninstalled teams, an input device is still left over and Shadow is picking it up. I hope this helps. 

If it doesn’t, hopefully you can resolve your issue or contact support so they can look into it for you!

Hi ! Thank you for the advice, I already tried to see if this was the case and it is not ! I only have the input of my headset and the mac’s one. I have a ticket open with the support and, for now, they haven’t been able to find a solution.
