No audio in steam vr games with virtual desktop

I recently bought shadow and use it to play steam vr games on my quest 2 using virtual desktop. The problem being is that I can hear audio though my headset coming through steam, for example when you click a button I hear the click sound though my headset but in game audio and background music I don't hear at all, any help is much appreciated!
