Shadow freezing on late 2007 imac

Hi all

I've been shadow for three months now on a 2012 macbook pro, and its been running perfectly. Had some issues at the start, but that has been resolved.

Since yesterday, i've been trying to get shadow to work at my imac at work. (its our own business, dont worry)

This thing is pretty much an old beast. Mid 2007 2.7 ghz dual core with 4 gig of ram. It fits the minimum spec requirements.

I got it running, but, it freezes when loading a game, or some random stuff. For instance, in battlefield 3, it loads a map thru battlelog, but when i get at the deploy screen, video freezes in an instant. It's basically the game still running, if i were in a game i could still hear the match going, audio continues etc. I had the same problem some times with my macbook pro the first week.

Also note, connection at work isnt great. Its max 38 down/27 up.

What should I try?

Was thinking about upgrading the ram to 8gb and putting an ssd into it. But maybe the imac specs are too minimum, even tho they fit.

Thanks in regard!

Martijn

Did you activate h265 ? If so, don’t.

A 2007 Mac is too old to run Shadow unfortunately, sorry :(
