I’m thinking about to get myself the Valve Index VR glasses using and keep using my Shadow Ghost box. Would that work? Has anyone already collected experience with this? The only problem I see at the moment is that at least a displayport 1.2 is required, but the Shadow Ghost box only has an HDMI 2.0 output.
- Maximum data rate is slightly lower
- An adapter from HDMI to Displayport is needed
What about the latency? I have a default latency of 30ms, with 1GB/s speed. On-top the ms for rendering shadow. What are the limits for the VR experience to be smooth?
