Whenever i am playing Warzone on shadow, shadows latency randomly spikes up to over 1000ms. Usually it lasts for a couple minutes. Whenever this happens, as soon as i close the game, it drops down to 20-40 ms. i have tried following one of shadows solutions which was to open ports and while it did help, it still occasionally happens. i don’t think it is a problem with the game because my in game latency is usually at 15-30 ms. these latency spikes are my main problem with shadow and i need a way to get rid of them or at least make them less common. By the way, Warzone is the only game i have installed.

Thanks.

WHo is your ISP and can you tell me your router name and if it uses the puma chipset? Also are you connected with ethernet and tried 5 bandwidth?

I am in Canada so my isp is virgin and my router is the one that came with the plan caller "Valerie". I'm connected with 5Ghz wifi. I don't know if it use that chipset and I don't think so because this only happens with shadow and nothing else

Hey Lilly.

I found a solve for my situation, it might work for you.

In the windows app on your computer the settings (cog wheel upper right)  change setting the “Optimize Streaming” option to “Prefer speed”

I have always had it on "prefer speed" and it still does it occasionally.

How far away are you from the router and are there any obstacles in between you and it.

Hi MeerA, just as a reminder, Shadow is not supported in Canada and we can’t guarantee an optimal experience for you.  If the latency spikes still happen, I’d recommend restarting your router or running our traceroute from your local device to our datacenter to see if there are any nodes that are adding additional latency to your connection.
