I DREAD to use Shadow because every time I log on, I have to wait 10-15 minutes for the “updates”. There are usually several a week. Why not stagger them to once a month to make the user experience more pleasurable? It is getting like using a PS4 where again there are numerous “updates” which are largely trivial.

I get lengthy updates whenever I switch devices, but only about 30 second ones regularly. So that’s a bit odd

If you use the original client and it keeps prompting that then you have two options to actually make it go away. The first one is to disable the “Keep graphics driver updated” setting in the Shadow app. If that does not work then (what worked for me and this is the ultimate fix) is to reset your Shadow to factory settings.
Do note that this will make you lose all your data that is stored on your Shadow. So if it really bothers you that much then this will definitely fix your issue.
