Your USB over IP was working fine before but suddenly stopped and when you try to select a device it doesnt want to select? Well try this below, it has helped other people and may help you!

  1. In the Launcher, go to the Settings (little cog icon) and go to USB Peripherals and uncheck it and let it uninstall the drivers
  2. Restart your computer that is running Shadow.
  3. Go back to the Launcher, Settings and go to the USB Peripherals and check it again and let it install the drivers again, then go back to Shadow and try to select your device again. This should have hopefully fixed it)

Might also be good to mention that USB will generally cease to function at anything greater than 35ms ping. Otherwise they may be chasing a issue that won't generally help.

Unstable ping can also be an issue

Unstable ping and packet lose should always be eliminated first.

Good to know)

On Mac that won’t help, because Shadow screwed up the license file for the third party Software they are using on the Mac.

Shadow essentially with current launcher works in Trial mode (which is why you can share only one device) and the trial is over at some point and then it stops working.

Reinstallation does not fix that problem.

You can either use the beta launcher for Mac (it has the right license file) or (on your own terms and without warranty of working) just uninstall Drivers from stable launcher and then manually run the installation script from the newer Beta client. [its also possible to copy just the .db file from the launcher which includes the license to /var/db but unless you force kill eveusbd this can corrupt the DB file, so it’s not recommended].

That fixes the problem.

All advice above fixes nothing. Reinstalling drivers every time you boot up is not a fix but a work around, imagine if you had to do this on your local machine,  beta is no better. Shadow need to fix this issue as it's getting worse over time, it's now taking me 1 hour to get the damn thing going and support is none existent.

It's bad latency

Seems somewhat presumptive. It isn't latency related and I have conducted tests that have been verified by the shadow team. Stopped using shadow because of this.

Might be time to update your router. Here in UK I've just upgraded from a BT home hub 6 to a smart hub 2 and my usb 3's are now all recognising again. The last few months the home hub ping jumped to 38 everything stopped connecting, I couldn't use my hotas or even quest2 link cable, now ping is 17 with the new router and all good👍i don't think the home hub 6 could manage in these covid times.

Agree with BT kit, it's utter garbage. My ping is 26-28 which isn't the best buy should be suitable. Funnily it's HOSAS that I struggle with using thrust master T1900's but if it's just a mouse for RTS I have no such problems.

Your upload should also be consistent and stable enough to be able to use such devices properly.
