I have seen multiple people say that they were able to get shadow to run on desktop with VR with it being unsupported. Is this true?

There is a closed alpha for like 2 dozens of users. You can follow the news if you search for the shadow vr exploration programme.

There is a workaround to get VR running via boost on the quest.

I just tried Alyx following this guide, and it works amazingly!
