I got the 29.99 subscription but it says that the Shadow PC has an NVIDIA Quadro P5000 GPU and an Intel Xeon CPU.

So.. how do I change that? Thats pretty bad for 29.99

On October 26th, there will be the option to get better specs. As for the current specs the Intel Xeon is a server CPU working in tandem with many others and you are just using a small portion of that’s servers collective processing power, the same goes for the GPU. The Quadra is equally as powerful as a GTX 1080 and is the reason why it is the chosen GPU for this distributed computing server.

@Liddenhelm The legacy Shadow hardware’s CPU is being shared by only two user sessions, and the P5000 GPUs are not shared...those are 1:1 for user sessions. Please do your research before answering questions like this.

I had the GTX 1080 before for my Shadow PC, and lately I noticed a game I played regularly was starting to struggle...at times becoming unplayable. I discovered the GPU change, and then when logging in to my Shadow control panel, I saw they dropped the “Boost” from the name of my subscription (it had said boost) before.

So I reached out to Shadow support and got the most unhelpful reply I’ve ever recieved:

“ Please note that your Shadow account was migrated to our new datacenter in Dunkirk on the 7th of September, but nothing else changed with your hardware setup.

Please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have any other questions or concerns.“

That was their “help” to my ongoing problem.
