Hi.

My Shadow PC did a Windows feature update yesterday and now it's bricked. Just shows a BIOS boot menu that I can't get beyond. I've tried forcing it to shutdown and then restart but it just brings me to the boot menu every time.

Can anyone help please?

Did you shut down and wait 30 minutes before launching again?

if yes and this happens again id just go to the account page and reset the entire shadow to ready to play state (takes 40 minutes) and you do lose all data.

otherwise contact support if you have tried the 30’ break

What do you mean?

Under W10, if you see the BIOS at startup it’s generaly a hard failure on HDD/SSD.

It also usually means the Windows update failed.

I note this thread is marked as ‘solved’ but it’s not yet. The 30 minute shutdown didn’t work and I was not going to lose all my data by doing a full reset - not an option! I did contact support obviously. After about 18 hours, Shadow reset and the Windows update was uninstalled, so I was able to access it again without data loss. However, for now, I am not going to install the Windows 10 feature update version 2004 again until someone definitively says that the issue is fixed. I’d advise anyone else not to install it either.
