Will the wired Xbox 360 Controller work directly with Shadow, without forwarding the USB ports? I’m using a work laptop, which needs admin permission to Enable USB peripherals and I don’t have that.

I believe controllers work without needing to download the USB forwarding program. That’s how it works for me

I've tried a ps3 controller and joy cons, both are recognised through shadow but no activity is seen during calibration or games.
I thought this was because I'm unable to install the USB drivers. Since the Xbox360 controllers works automatically under Windows, I'm hoping I can get these to work under shadow. I wanted to know for sure before I bought one though.

None of my USB Peripherals work but my Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers both work fine and are under a separate section in the options menu. So, although I’m not shadow staff, I’m fairly certain you’ll be fine with the controller.

The xbox controllers should work fine without USB over IP on Shadow. Essentially mouse, keyboard, and basic controllers can all be recognized through the launcher without USB over IP. Back in the day USB over IP wasn’t a functionality that worked or was even reliable, so the core of Shadow has handled these other inputs.
