Hello to everyone.I started using Shadow yesterday and the third time I launched it, the sound stopped working. On my host computer, Shadow was not appearing in the Sound Mixer no matter what I tried (Restart streaming, distant computer, host computer, nothing worked.) Then I seen on forums here that it had to do with the setting “automatically update drivers” which I had to deactivate on Shadow launcher and make GeForce reinstall drivers on the distant computer. Nvidia shown me an error and I finally decided to restore the distant Windows to an earlier restore point. Very bad idea. Now I’m stuck in n infinite startup failure, I started Windows exactly 7 times now and it freezes my shadow. I downloaded a 120GB game on the distant computer, don’t want to download that again. On the screenshot below, Shadow doesn’t allow me control the computer when I have something to do.What should I do ? :( Soraiko
My Playstation 5 DualSense controller worked perfectly with shadow in the last month. But tuday, I started shadow, the controller was detected and had shown in the shadow settings menu, even can update the firmware. But the buttons, joysticks and triggers non of them works. Even the game recognize it, and ask me to push button x, but like the interactions will not register in shadow system.Does anyone meet with this issue? Do you have a solution? (tried to restart the system or connect via usb)
Hey guys, After seeing lots of posts saying that Windows 11 works well (if not better) on a Shadow, I tried to install it on my new Shadow (Boost). I’m getting an error about TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, making it impossible for me to install Windows 11 from Insiders Preview.I read some tutorials online saying that I should access the BIOS to turn on/off some things, but we can’t access the BIOS on a Shadow PC right? Does anybody know how could I install Windows 11? Thanks in advance!
I just got my Valve Steam Deck and thought that it should be able to run Shadow. So i downloaded the Linux Client. But unfortunately i always get the error “It looks like you are offline” even though i am clearly Online. It seems the error always happens after a specific time when it tries to test the internet connection. Tested with the Beta and Regular Client, Tested with WLAN and LAN (with Cable using a USB-Lan adapter) Starting using the Command-Line shows an error in Line 1 “hostname command not found”. wasn’t successful in installing netutils yet on the Steam Deck, but since it shows the network test running with download / upload speed and ping, it should be not a problem. Its just always switching to the Offline screen which is unskippable. Even the whole network test is not possible to skip.
I don’t have audio on my Shadow and it’s frustrating issue. On my local PC, Audio is working fine. On the shadow client, the audio is set to “Digital Audio HDMI”. So far, i’ve tried to set the Audio in the windows+r settings panel from high quality to medium. That didn’t fix the issue. I also don’t see any output device on my shadow that is named “shadow” something, the only thing i see is the above mentioned “Digital Audio HDMI” When i reinstalled my shadow it worked once, and stopped working after the client crashed for the first time. This issue is incredibly frustrating to me, as i can’t play games properly without Audio. How can i fix this issue ? IT seems that there are alot of people who have this, and i think it’s caused by the audio coming from the HDMI
I am playing GTA Roleplay. If i move around, i am not able to aim good because i got very much fps drops.. They are going from 80 ( which is very low with settings all set to minimum) to 30-50. On an old comouter, its working much better.. What is the problem?? 2nd thing is, that my microphone starts to make vrunchy sounds when i am talking sometimes. Mic is okay since in host OS it works perfectly. Would really love to upgrade if the performance is better.. 1080 is way too outdated nowadays
Broken USB Drivers: Seemingly only with Windows 11, there is an error popping up every time Shadow Launcher(s) are opened stating to fix/uninstall the USB Drivers due to an error. Doing either of these does nothing to fix the problem. I’ve attempted the following: Factory Reset on Shadow and Local PC. Manually reinstalling my local PCs USB Drivers. Manually uninstalling the USB drivers for shadow using the provided command from support, which was unsuccessful due to the file not being there in anyway. Support thus far after over a week of this issue has been unable to solve this for me, or anyone else as far as I know. Steps to reproduce the bug:Could not find any specifics. This seems as I said, to only be an issue on Windows 11 from the people that I’ve talked to. Application/device, official or beta and version number.HP Laptop 15. Official, Beta, Alpha. Latest (could not find, but has been steady updated.)Additional Context. For any specifics such as Eltima error logs
I have several games that I can't play due to controller issues. In one the hands are stuck at my ankles and won't separate the other the mapping flipped and I can't get the configure to work or the setting worked out. Other games no issues. I load the games on my pc and the controls work fine. I used shadow and they are not playable and are the same games. Example Derail Valley controls all backwards. Phamaphobia hands stuck together at my feet. I've tried setting configuration, add or remove driver and nothing fixes them. Any help would be great.
Hello All!After the most recent update (on 4/27/2022) i found myself completely unable to use my controller. It is a wired xbox controller and it has never once given me a problem untill now. I tried the shut down and restart method, and uninstalled Shadow multiple times. Whenever i plug in my controller, it gives an error code and prompts me to do the same steps again. This occured immediately AFTER the update, so im think that had something to do with it. If anyone has any other ideas, i would be VERY grateful. My good friend just bought me Elden Ring and i was enjoying getting absolutely torn to shreds. I would like to continue doing so. :)
Describe the bug (required) Following the shadow migration that happened a month ago, I have had so many problems trying to connect my controller to my shadow. I submitted a ticket, they reset my config again and I was able to connect a controller to it again. Then the next time I logged in I was met with Windows configuring something, and now I cannot use my controller again. I also tried the method posted here: I expected to be able to connect my controller just like I always have before the migration, but ever since I have been unable to use my shadow at all Steps to reproduce the bug (required) Start streaming shadow PC Connect a PS4 controller No controller is listed in the shadow PC and it is unusable Application/device, official or beta, and version number (required) Mac Beta Launcher v4.30.6 Client v3.16.9 Mac Official Launcher v4.30.6 Client v3.16.10 Additional Details I have had no success with neither the official or beta build. Hello,Yesterday on the 28th of April all my gaming on my Shadow PC was fine working on 60fps… today it’s dropped down to 12fps and getting worse. The Shadow’s CPU is constantly 100% and yet there’s no other apps draining the cpu…Any reason why this is happening? Thanks.
My question is, I’m using a MacBook Pro, and that’s why I got Shadow. Anyways, I start up Shadow, and I already have my Oculus 2 Software App installed on my desktop, and when I try to pair both devices via AirLink, my PC doesn’t appear in the Quest 2 VR list. Then it says, make sure to have your Quest 2 and PC connected to the same network (WiFi). I tried looking for WiFi settings everywhere in Shadow and they don’t appear to be there. All I see is an Ethernet connection. Please help. Much appreciated. Thanks!
