I think you guys need to upgrade the GPU and add it as a option as an upgrade like storage this system is really struggling with VR and with the inflax of quest 2 users I think it would bring a lot more people onboard I've done the analysis and research and this will definitely insure shadow is better than any cloud pc new compition is coming so do it before you get beaten to the punch I had to do extensive optimisation of the shadow to get vr running perfectly it required months of optimisation an many will have no idea how to do it the GPU problem needs to be addressed as people move on no offense it will be buisness take it from someone that's done IT in multiple fields since he was 6 I want you guys to be the best
When I’m 2D mode, it is very hard to read and use windows desktop, I think the canvas size of tye 2D mode should be adjustable and in a higher resolution than 1080 by default, also, including a windows virtual keyboard button on bottom right corner in the windows would be a good addition.
Something a lot’s of people around the world, me included, want to do is to be able to create a working environment with Unity Engine but to have the stream connection in it of the computer (Because you can’t do everything in VR).I tried and that kind of impossible mission with <1500 ms.But Shadow do it in the VR sideloadable app !!!.As the Shadow Team did a VR Sideloadable project in Unity. I suppose it would be possible to have a Unity Asset for developer to create world around the the Shadow stream version.If yes, I very very interested to work on the subject with the team.( Note: the current VR Quest App. Works… But it could be much much better if we could work around it.It is missing a lot’s of basic requirement:- be able to move the keyboard- be able to zome move and scale the stream- be able to switch the key to click or double click- …And that the point of be able to code or own Unity App with your stream connection )Does the idea was tested ?Does the idea is in a milestone

Hello,Today I have an idea to improve a better experience of shadow, so yesterday i download star citizen but i can’t play ‘cause I don’t have a lot of RAM, 12g of ram but the game say me I must play with 16 to have 30fps.I thinks shadow can add ram to boost offer. Like storage update !
Suggestions for the Shadow VR Beta (I’m using an Oculus Quest 2)Add more settings like Bitrate limits, audio quality, bandwidth control and the list goes on! Make an option to be able to control the Shadow VR from your PC (for example whilst being in VR you can take the headset off anytime and load up a browser).Bug findsRandomly out of the blue you will be stuck in loading trying to launch VR even though its worked perfectly fine and or it will boot you back to the Shadow VR Beta Home screen for no reason. In certain games like Boneworks, controls will not work at all and all you can do is move your controllers.
I use Shadow for design tasks and 3D, and I get sidetracked and multitask a lot, then I get really irritated when suddenly the connection drops and I’ve lost my work. Can Shadow make a Ding - or some unique noise to tell thet user it’s about to close the connection?
As you may know, in the Shadow VR Beta when you try to launch the game Boneworks, your controllers will not work correctly and will result in every control not working. After doing some research ive stumbled upon this https://issueexplorer.com/issue/GPUOpen-LibrariesAndSDKs/Radeon-ReLive-VR/93 (I know this is for a different thing but stay with me) in the answer here they say that, “I can only guess what the game is doing, but we've seen games that would attempt to use the Oculus API directly even under Steam. In case of ReLive VR this API is simply not present as there isn't a real device connected to the PC that the Oculus runtime can recognize.”. I think this could be the same problem that Shadow VR Is facing, the person that gave the answer said that Virtual Desktop emulates the Oculus API meaning the game behaves correctly. Maybe this could mean thats Shadow VR isnt emulating it and needs to for games to work properly? Still, im not sure and I would need people to back me up. Tell
I am really in need of a feature that would help me with using shadow more efficiently and that would be extremely useful.Basically I use shadow for multiple things but mostly being after effects and photoshop. most of the time whenever I want to switch layers I cannot do so, I can’t scroll on my iPad in shadow because as you might know there isn’t a scroll bar on adobe apps when trying to switch layers.I think a scrolling feature would make shadow way more efficient to use. Of course it’s not vital and I can find ways around it but on mobile devices, shadow can easily perfect itself to become fully accessible and easier to use if people have more suggestions that you guys could add. As of now here’s my ideas/requests:Scrolling feature Zooming in being way less mistakable (I’d normally try zooming in but when doing so I’d mess something up in my editing so maybe removing touch controls while doing so) have a built in keyboard (just like the one windows has ,onscreen keyboard, so when y
I am curious why there is not a ‘trackpad mode’ on the iPhone/Android versions of Shadow? As an example, Google Remote Desktop allows you to toggle between two different versions of the mouse. One version is you can click using your finger and the second is to use trackpad mode. Trackpad mode allows you to use the mouse on screen and use the touch of the screen as a trackpad to control that mouse. Considering Shadow uses KVM this would be a fairly easy thing to implement. In order for me to get around this, I had to install Google Remote Desktop on my Shadow instance to use trackpad mode. It would be great if I didn’t have to use that though and could just use my Shadow on my iPhone.Thank you,
So im having difficulty with vision when running the alpha app on my quest 2. Ive been able to mess around a little bit but have to close one eye to make sense of anything. Seems like the image is not lined up right (perhapse the ipd isnt being accounted for in the software).Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with double vision or if someone was able to fix it.
Aspect: comfort enhancement Description: while aiming the quest 2 controllers off screen have a option to resize , position , and curve the screen (best example can be seen in virtual desktop ) Impact: the impact of these changes would personally help allot , especially since my situation of a bad back injury and mainly bedridden , ontop of being displaced to a hotel due to covid-19 and a cruel landlord , im able to access my shadow via my quest 2 directly with the down side of not being able to adjust the screen position to my needs , but i will say it works rather well for being on hotel wifi of 13mbps
Stuttering head movement when looking aroundUnder Review
When I look around in the shadowVR Alpha then it stutters a ton. Its fine if I don’t move my head but if I do then it just makes me feel sick. I also didn’t see this is the known errors and idk if its my wifi. If anyone has any solutions please let me know. Edit: Sorry if this is the wrong flair or in the wrong place this is my first time using the forums.
Really high lagUnder Review
Gave the Shadow VR app a shot yesterday. Normally I use virtual desktop to play vr and it works very well in terms of latency, its just visuals take a slight bump with artifacting. However the VR app definitely gave me a headache in terms of lag that I was not able to handle more than a preliminary 3-4 minutes of just moving in the steamVR home before I was done from nausea. Basically when I moved my head, it would take the visuals a full second before catching up to my head. I’ll probably give it another shot today and load up a game and see how it runs. Also my set up is the same as when I run the virtual desktop so I dont think connecting is the problem. Also if this isnt the place to post this, sorry. Still not sure where to put feedback.
When I tried to login to my Shadow over my Quest, I entered the first code 3 times. I thought since I had written it wrongly I need to correct it - I didn’t know a new mail gets sent if it is wrong.A little notification can greatly help new users.
I've had shadow vr installed on my quest 2 headset before through sidequest, but I uninstalled it. I tried reinstalling it after the latest update and sidequest says "apk installed" but it shadow shows up nowhere in unknown sources or even the headsets files. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Issue/Describe the bugPressing Occulus button while in SteamVR Home causes head tracking to be disabled. When pressed and then exiting the Occulus menu, you go back to SteamVR home but your vision no longer tracks your head and is slightly askew. Version:Alpha v. 3.7.0 Steps to Reproduce:Launch Shadow PC Alpha App Start in VR Mode and wait for boot into SteamVR Short press Occulus button on right joystick Click out of Occulus quick menu Additional NotesI was able to reproduce this three times in a row and I couldn’t find anything unique about what I was doing. My workaround is to go back to ShadowPC menu and re-enter VR mode.
IPD on oculus quest 2 level 3 is squished Horizontally which makes everything look tall and far away.Version 3.7.0I've tried everything I can think of regarding this issue but nothing works, some include staring the app in level 3, switching back and forth, restarting the app with the IPD been level 2 and switching up and so on.I use level 3 and not been able to use this make it uncomfortable after an hour, jitter I can deal with if I could use the right IPD for me.Thank you 👍
Hi ! Since the V25 update Facebook has changed his politics for others apps, they have add the "App Lab" function. With this, you don't need sidequest anymore. And you can update directly from the occulus market.Plus, the apps pop directly on the apps list (and you don't need to go on the menu and select others apps)
