On derail valley
It properly detects the hmd
But in terms of the controllers
It thinks they are vive wands
I talked to the developers about this and it seems the issue is with shadow vr
Hopefully this goes on the list of game specific bugs

Indeed your report will make its way to our game specific bug board.
I am 100% sure there are many more games like that we have not spotted yet. I myself have had the same issue on Transpose & on vermintide VR (Worse actually).
